Okay, I don't hate this title~ after all, they are an assasination group so "blood" works, but man... I was so used to Tales of Dark River! I am so shocked they changed it like whyyy... To think that the organization is actually called "Dark River" kinda makes it... 🙃 Oh well, time to get used to it then!

I am loving the bromance so much! I love watching all four friends fighting together to defeat the bad guy! But boy, what's with it like Li Lianhua is fighting against his enemy yet again LOL

Can't with the L&R reunion, AND the MLC reunion! Like dang, what now? 😂🫣

I'm only on the first ep but let me just confidently say that this is my favorite drama of 2025 now 🫣

Oh my gosh, I only watched this guy in support roles but I am really so used to his face!! Stumbling upon the news of his death really broke my heart... I still can't believe this! RIP, Yu Menglong. My condolences to your family and friends. You were amazing! 🥺😥💔

Gosh I can't believe it's coming soon! This is legit my most anticipated drama (alongside Shui Long Yin)... The last Chengyi drama I watched was, like most ppl, MLC! To finally watch him again has been a long awaited moment (tho I'm ngl, I am currently rewatching him in L&R lol)! I'm so excited AAHHH!! And when I tell you it's been awhile since I watched a wuxia... Finally I'll be watching one again!!

Yeah there is lots of angst in it. Maybe it's not for you then if you can't handle it. Also, it's 59 eps! I would say the love story btw them is really beautiful and epic tho! There will be lots of sad moments but some beautiful moments too. As you prob alr know, Sifeng sadly suffers a lot thru the drama... It's easy to cry watching him (and Chengyi really always looks like he is in great pain - what a great actor). It's beautiful bc for the most part when no one is by his side during his suffering and is accused for things he doesn't do, she is always there to try to defend and protect him which is precious. Sadly there will be moments of betrayal (I don't rmr when but later in the drama) but I can't even blame FL bc of how she grew up / is being greatly manipulated by those close to her. She does come around tho and grows a lot, realizing all her mistakes, hence "redemption". Oh, and I forgot to add that Bai shu is in it, and tbh, this one is surely his most iconic character! I love that he adds comedic relief after we go thru all this suffering in the drama lol. (If you are curious, you can look up "Teng She Love and Redemption" on Youtube and find a humorous video of his character there)

ANYWAYS... Yes, I love to see Chengyi's growth in his acting, taking up different kinds of roles!

Oh no... she definitely was NOT dubbed in MJTY 😅 Also, I would like to note the director actually never lets his actors dubbed by others which is refreshing~ Ig now you'll be praising her for dubbing herself here? 🫣 Since you prob didn't mind it at all (esp since she doesn't use her high voice when speaking).

Hmm, well he's still got some romance dramas, just not as much anymore. In fact, his most popular and epic one is L&R. Honestly, the chemistry of the leads is off the charts, so if they look for romance, then ig they gotta try smth like this instead skdjskdjs don't understand ppl tho that seem to need romance in the dramas they watch... I'm always for plots and an engaging story 🤷‍♀️

Still rewatching and I'm on ep 21... Tbh, unlike lots of people, I just don't find the FL annoying even in just the first eps. Instead, I find her really cute and sweet esp now. Like yes, she is naive and very innocent but that is due to how she was born and grew up. Despite this, she really shows a lot of love for Sifeng by always defending him, trying to protect him when no one else is there for him, even trying to clear a misunderstanding if she feels there is one, etc. Love that despite how innocent and childlike she is that she has a good heart. She does learn and grow a lot too throughout the drama which is nice to see too yk.

Oh yesss I rmr when that scene came and was like omggg... So I can tell the first love he described was for Wen Xiao and the second one was for Yuanzhou 🤭 And the fact that Bai Jiu felt that the second one was more loving and thought he was talking about Wen Xiao, but I can tell it's Yuanzhou deep down 🫣

Oh, and let's not forget this, like can't you believe it?? 😭 (Oh, and that is the ONLY part of that scene that was SILENCED)

Chinese fans do have 4K, which is why I said that lol... So they have their own separate Chinese platform app which is 4K. I also decided to check Youku's Chinese app for instance and it does have higher quality, but I don't think it has subs, so it wouldn't work out for us. And it would be strange if we had tbh if Chinese fans didn't get it either.

Yeah, idk why even Youku doesn't have 4K. They really rob us international fans... So thank goodness this drama is on iQIYI! It's honestly probably the most user-friendly platform for us.

Dang didn't expect we'd get the ML and 2FL (from Coroner's Diary who are cousins) to be a cp!

Girl, you've got to watch MLC too! About the same production team which is really good. And it's Chengyi! He frickin' slays in his martial arts (literally the BEST if you ask me)! And the bromance? You will love it! 😍🔥 You are honestly missing out! But you will prob not wanna miss this either so you'll prob end up watching this first is my guess... I mean, ngl, it's literally my most anticipated drama rn actually haha... Can't wait really!

Still can't believe the leads from Shadow Love starred together before but not as a cp. I don't know if this is a drama I would like to watch, but I'm even hesitant now after having watched them and their amazing chemistry in SL lol 😅😭

Felt the same. Honestly, you gotta watch Love and Redemption atp. So much of the cast from there are here which is insane. And those two (Ziqi and devil king) have a much more satisfying love story there where both truly come to love each other. We see at first she is the one that really falls for him hard (unlike here where she cheats on him) and he follows after. I found them to be such a great cp to watch in that drama. So after having watched this which I had done when I alr watched L&R, I was baffled and couldn't believe it bc she was so different in L&R where she really loved him, so it was like crazy to watch it here LOL

Yes and one of the most satisfying ones yet! (Tho I haven't watched til the end lol but I see everyone saying this, and pretty much alr knowing the ending, I can say it's such a good and well-written one 🫶
