I was going to eventually say how I hope his drama reaches 8.5 bc it deserves more, but it really hit that mark already? Omg I love how it keeps going higher! From 8.2 to 8.5, that is no joke! I mean, really... What a beautifully done romance drama this one truly is~ As someone who is more into plot-driven dramas and strong friendships (rather than romance), this was truly smth else! And I gotta say... these two have officially become of my favorite cps yet! The BEST chemistry Cheng Lei has with his FL co-star so far for me! Oh, and not to mention, when do we ever get a MC that has three distinct identities? This was smth new and I really loved this aspect of the show. To even get them all merged into one made this even more satisfying. Frickin' love that they gave us that. I will dearly miss this now once I'm finished huhu... But I will so be looking forward to Fushanhai which seems to be the next iQIYI drama coming up! 🫶

I am savoring the last eps bc I don't want to end it 😩 I can't wait to see our three identities to merge into one! I still can't believe we get this! It's the best ending I could ever ask for for the ML 🥹😭🫶 And for him and Li Shuang to have a HEA makes it even better! With such an ending, it may really jump my score by .5!

Wow, I didn't know this was a story about the FL getting into a historical world and that Cheng Lei is gonna be such a fun character here... Just these two things alone makes me await and anticipate this drama even more, esp after watching him as the fun Jin'an in Shadow Love! So excited now! 😍🔥

Hahaha for some it was sus which I get, but for me I didn't believe it mostly bc of his reaction when he realized he gave the wrong poison (and he was alone at that time, so he couldn't be pretending) which I felt mostly gave away that he felt really bad for giving the poison in general~ Anyways, I'm happy that he's a good guy in the end 😊

Curious where y'all will watch this when it airs. Viki has a big chance of picking this up as they always pick up C-dramas except those from iQIYI. If it comes on Netflix, that'll be crazy good too. Where do you think it might air tho? I may stick with Viki with its high quality subs. I'm the type to screen record during airing dramas so best bet for me too. I'd love it if iQIYI picks this up bc the subs are actually pretty good. And the 4k quality? Oh boy... Now that's where I would watch if it came there... but chances aren't high huhu... Well, we will see whatever platforms pick this up. Can't miss this one. My top anticipated drama honestly (alongside Fushanhai).

So I rmr a scene where he was thinking about his crippled hand and how he was miserable trying to use it. So in that flashback, he faked it there, all bc he's always being watched at every moment? And it confuses me even more bc of the flashback of when he and his brother (I believe) were kids and he was pushed and hit his hand on a rock or smth. So he was able to heal from that injury?

Question. Su Muyang said he always faked his right hand being injured or whatever. But that doesn't seem to be true? In some earlier eps there were scenes where he was struggling to use it. So I'm not understanding this. I surely missed smth?

I guess the subs make it a better watch? It's unfortunate bc it's not on Viki anymore, at least for me. So I will defeinitely watch it ob iQIYI, the next best option. I hope I can still enjoy it as much there! I don't think much about the subs being bad at all (bc it prob isn't; asked a Chinese person about it once and she mentioned the subs are good but the way they sub how they call someone by title, name, etc. can unfortunately happen often, which I def am aware of haha, so it doesn't affect too much. But yeah, comparing Viki and iQIYI occassionally, I can see that Viki will always have the best subs in general, even if iQIYI isn't that bad.

Haha best to not expect much from her then! I hadn't watched her much b4 so I don't have much thoughts about her acting in general. And ooh, nice. Isn't The Fated General currently in the dungeon for like 7+ years or so? It's a drama I'm also anticipating! Hope it comes one day...

But I'm more curious about what you're anticipating this year or next year. Tho I do have to say my most anticipated in general are some of the dramas currently in the dungeon (ex: Immortality, Eternal Faith, Winner is King...) 🥲 Actually fun fact, did you know Tan Jianci and Chen Zheyuan had a reunion at a variety show recently? Now air the drama... 😭 (I'm aware of censorship yes)

Anyways, I am curious. What are you looking forward to next? I'm on board for Fushanhai which should be coming soon, likely after Shadow Love, hopefully.
