Idk about y'all but I watched ADWAD and I'm missing Shanhu a lot there, so when I found out he'd be in this drama, I was so happy bc I'll be seeing him again! And I have to say he is doing really well, esp for someone who had to mostly (or only) film scenes alone which ain't easy! But tbh, the fact that he's dubbed here makes his character give off a different vibe lol... Like I wished he used his own voice instead bc it sounds so much more natural! 😭 But anyways he is doing so well himself! I can tell it's not his body either tho (if I'm not wrong) which can be a bit distracting lmaoooo but I still think they did a pretty good job with it... Anyways, I can't imagine how much hard work it takes lol

Yes I watched it and it's soo good!! I esp loved the Marquis X Zhixing arc~ It was my favorite! So I was ngl... sad, when their arc finished, as it lasted for around 2/3-3/4 of the drama 😭😭

Nah there's Legend of Zanghai with a happy ending, and The Legend of Shen Li lol... It's not always a sad ending~ (Btw, pls don't spell out the dramas that have it... want no spoilers haha)... I wanna praise Bai Shu. I watched him in so many dramas and loved his characters for the most part. This is the first time I see him as a villain, which he's doing well in so far. And not to mention he never ever seems to get dubbed by anyone but himself which I LOVE SO MUCH! Must be due to how he can speak so well in the dialect they need for all Chinese viewers to be able to understand well. I can't imagine him being dubbed bc I am so used to his voice across the dramas I've watched him in! He does it so well!

Wow, there's a lot of negative comments, but it's understandable... I only watched one ep but I like the fast pace tbh. It got me hooked. I also went in blind not having read the novel (usually me tho tbh) and I think it's great. I don't care about budget that much. I already knew this was low budget since last year and for some reason I couldn't even see it lol. Maybe it's bc I grew up with some older shows so I never really mind about it? Anyways, for me, how I connect with the drama rather than budget is what matters for me, and so far, it's really good! I'm sorry for those who read the novel. I hope they do improve for y'all in the end tho! I hope they keep up a good pace onto next eps!

Omg... I didn't read the novel and I'm loving it so far (only watched one ep) as I went in blind, but this is so sad! I did not know they removed a character... That's so... now that makes me curious what it would be like if we had Lin Shuanghe as a separate character...

Just like LOTFG, I REALLY hope this drama comes on iQIYI! It's the only platform I've used that has 4K for international viewers... It's been 2.5 years since I watched this drama, and it was only 2.5 years old at that time. So now it's twice that old... And since it's the 5th anniversary, Imma rewatch this. Super excited to rewatch my very first historical C-drama 🙈

Right... I recalled in the beginning about Mr. Shen and they had ppl impersonate him. So I was thinking what if he is just using a face mask? But then again, Yesha always wears a mask to cover his face, so hmm... My guess is what we saw is the true Yesha but we don't know yet who he actually is. OR ELSE he decided to impersonate someone so he doesn't get caught just in case? Idk, Yesha is very smart and sneaky, able to get away with his evil deeds. Also, there is no reason to give us a hint of his side profile about who Yesha might really be lol.
