5 - fifth GRADE!! GOOD GD! So he was what 11? What's happening to this generation?YES, bullying is horrific on…
While I understand "it was a long time ago" and "they were kids then and we are adults now"..... I get it...but I think that if as you graduated high school and see the face of your past abuser daily because they are a famous person now (shows, commercials, social media) that will trigger a trauma response. Your abuser stayed in your past in the case of a celebrity they are never in the victims past. I just think this is important for us to remember when examining these issues as they arise.
I am in no way commenting about the bullying scandal but that the comments seem to be very dismissive of the pain and long term damage bullying causes. No blame here but please empathy for victims and a clear understanding that once damage has been done an apology is just empty words particularly when only given because the perpetrator was supposed to or forced to. If you have harmed someone by bullying them, and are actually sorry about it, then prove it with an action that helps to heal the pain. Give more than easy and often empty words. Put an equal amount into healing the harm that was put into bullying. Told them five times a day how ugly they were for 3 years in school? Then tell them for 3 years now every day how great they look. Told them 5 times a week for a year what a loser they are and unloveable? Then tell them 5 times a week for an entire year that they are good enough. When you filled a persons world with painful words and actions for an extended period how can three words just once be considered remotely equal? It does not matter what the reason the bully did what they did. What matters is what the bully does about it now that they know and understand. How about paying for their therapy? It shows remorse and action.
Cute and sweet with subtle undertones about deeper things. Male Lead at first seems a toxic guy then very weak man of fragile ego but ends up growing by the end. I don't want to say more as I do not want to ruin it for those who want to watch it so will say this; it is about personal emotions first and romance second.
Am I the only one creeped out? Child grooming is gross, it's not romantic...
Oh my god agreed. Child grooming is criminal and for a reason. The best friend systematically taking over her life is also extremely creepy and gross. But lady, if another woman can interfere with your man.....he was never completely yours and you can do a lot better than him. The best revenge is having a lasting healthy loving relationship with that better man than she grabbed.
It's not that it is bad but.....the male lead treats the female lead horribly. Classic example of a toxic man and any interaction with this kind will also be toxic. With a capital T. And let's talk about a doormat female lead that just.....accepts it. Then we step into fairyland and the guy suddenly loves the female lead (totally glossess over all the females he has used until this moment) and becomes a decent human. So by being a doormat she got her man......except all the other women who were doormats just got used. Hm. Anyway, they did an okay job and the entirely unrealistic redemption ended up making them cute and sweet instead of toxic and pathetic. The whole series was winding us up with how impossible it is for them to be together so that the last episode was utterly anticlimactic. I am a serial dropper though and managed to finish this. Take it as utter fluff to rest your brain with and it will be fine.
There is so little information about her. Did she start acting only after raising a family or has she always and it is just not listed? She is fantastic and I want to know more about her.
Is stalking normalized in China? I see this plotline a lot that someone follows a rival or love interest. It is illegal where I live and so even if people want to do it they will not as they are afraid of legal repercussion.
Hm interesting. The comments below seem so all or nothing. First everyone decided he was a monster and now that she is a monster. My impression based on his words are that a very handsome and charismatic man took his partner for granted and hurt her being inconsiderate and careless towards her (his words not mine). He admitted that once he made it he 'forgot about' the people who had supported him to get there. So it sounds like the average guy who will take the woman in his life for granted and not live up to the promises he gave. This kind of behaviour towards women is not just accepted but expected in our current society. As for her, it sounds like she was very hurt. She is not a monster either. I think taking this time to reflect on how he has conducted his his relationships is good. What if others were left very hurt and cause a scene as well because he did not acknowledge their disappointment and contributions to his future? I suspect he is cleaning house right now so that he can come back bigger than ever.
He is so talented it is just too bad uses women so badly. I mean why lie to a woman who does not want a casual thing when you can just find peop,e who want the same thing? And why lie to a girlfriend that she is the only one when you can just tell everyone you do not committ and they are not the only one? No one needs to be hurt just be honest and find ones who want the same thing. Instead lying to everyone knowing they do not want to live like that and sill be hurt is....just why?

I am confused most of the people here have sooooo many more than 5 credits. Is it drama only credits....or maybe movie only? Was going to ask about Gordon Maeda but in 2021 9 new titles got added. He got busy in 2020
Oh. My. My PTW list is completely out of control. When I first found dramas I was in a honeymoon stage and wanted to catch up on this world I had missed. I added anything that I might find interesting. And then I started adding things just released I wanted to check out....then going to be released I wanted to check out and everything that was a 'maybe' because well there is no maybe choice (I wish there was though) although I think I am starting to understand why there is not. Now that I have been watching for a few years I have developed expectations and requirements that might help me pare down my list.....except there are so many new dramas every month. So I have started watching the first episode to see if I am interested and then it gets moved to the Watching list. On Hold list is stuff that my mood changed or the plot got all bogged down unnecessarily. I don't know how I am ever going to tackle the monster my PTW list has become but it makes me feel better to know I am not the only one.
That's american slang and this is a chinese drama. The title translation is literal
That is incorrect. Husky is not a slang term nor does it originate in the US. It originates in England and in all english speaking countries means a larger person usually who is more muscular and strong as well as persons voice has become lower, throatier possibly a bit hoarse and LASTLY is a breed of dog....because that breed is more strong and muscular. The voice and dog breed being called husky come from the original meaning of bigger and stronger. Do check out the Cambridge dictionary online. @ Lee C is 100% correct this title is misleading. The more you know.....
Thank-you! I loved season one but then just finished watching the ml in another drama that just was not that good so got a little worried about season 2.
They list off 7 languages and then dismiss it as the ' bonus of living in a bilingual country'. Oh heck no, Canada speaks 2 languages. And the majority of Canadians only speak one out of those 2 fluently. If our boy speaks 7 it's ALL due to his own hard work. I have loved him in both the drama and movie I saw him in so wish he would do a whole lot more dramas and movies as a main lead.
The beginning is utter unrealistic poop. If you can get through it this drama is indeed everything it is advertised as. The question is....can you get through that HORRID beginning. Basically they set the scene by giving you characters so bad or, at the very best so ordinary that the story line is not believable. It just doesn't work. And that is my only criticism. All the characters grow and so we get to see growth and how wisdom comes when we heal from pain. They just did not need to make the characters so dysfuntional to start just so we could see the beauty of growth. Seriously, that was overly clumsy. But they definitely left the mistakes of the beginning behind and turned out a really good drama.
Unfortunately I can't tell you where exactly they fixed their bad start as I was so offended and irritated at the end of episode 3 I skipped to the last episode.
