Thanks for the episode thread! I have a question about a previous one.In ep 4, Liu Yan plants a gu worm (blue…
From memory I think Tang Lici squashed it during one of the fight scenes? The worm was mostly to force Tang Lici to enter the illusion (Tang Lici said Liu Yan did not dare to meet him in real life, only hiding in the illusion), where they were fighting on top of a coffin and suddenly turned 360 degrees into different layers of the illusion (Inception-style). Tang Lici was never under anyone's control, apart from getting temporarily trapped in Miss Hong's flower beds twice.
I think the Palace of Fallen Jade arc is pretty clear, because we've got Chi Yun, Fu Cui and Ah Shei explaining the thought process behind the game (including Master Shao sending Cheng Yunpao instead of Puzhu) in detail throughout the show. However, happy to add to my details thread if there's questions!
on ep 6,why did liu yan destroyed life extending pill of shen lang hun and stabbed and tried to kill him throwing…
His dialogue was "Your eyes remind me of him (Tang Lici). Innocent yet persistent.“ or something to that effect. So yes, he's gone crazy because of Tang Lici and kills everyone that reminds him of Tang Lici.
Ep13 brought out the question: Are monsters born or made? Fang Zhou took Tang Lici in despite knowing his connection with Yique Yinyang, simoly because Tang Lici hadn't done any evil then.
The bamboo hut fight scene in the peach garden imo was even better than King of Swords fight scene. Has to do with the editing as well I think
It's past the use by date. Filming sets are built quickly and quality isn't always great, especially after it's been rented out to heaps of drama crews day in day out. It just so happened that Whispers of Fate was the last drama to use it before it got demolished. How funny fate can be :)
Loving Ah Shei for how smart she is. She didn't feed Tang Lici her blood the usual way, because remember Miss Hong was still watching. If Ah Shei did it the normal way, Miss Hong would know her blood can save Tang Lici, however through breaking her lip and 'kissing' Tang Lici, Miss Hong only sees it through a romantic lense (she already ships them hard as it is - "Tang Lici will definitely come save you, you guys love each other")
Puzhu and Tang Lici being at odds about how to approach problems, fighting it out, then ending with the bet that if Puzhu interferes, he loses; if Tang Lici harms an innocent, he loses - is absolutely spectacular, from the CGI to the dialogue. As Tang Lici said, "I am no hero."
I don’t know but it felt like I was watching a filler episodes of anime till 1 to 3 episode 🙂 I am sorry…
The first episode conversation between the abbot and the male lead was "deep", to use your words. Not sure if you understood their convo about Buddhism, obsession and karma?
The fact that Tang Lici can catch the drug addict's sword in two fingers, and that he just says 'let this fight stop' and it actually does because of how powerful he is...now that is 👌
