It's a form of support for their favourite drama - and all fandoms in China seem to do it one way or another no matter how crazy ppl think they are. Of course it's not going to make a huge difference, since this drama already has record breaking streaming views. I guess it's the difference between 69.9 mil and 70 mil? A whole number looks nicer I guess, plus the post-production is an "improved" version compared to Youku youtube. Not trying to persuade you, just explaining what it's like over there on weibo.

To be exact, he composed 作曲 P4 (Movement of Life), arranged 编曲 P6 (Shadow of Darkness). He was the noter 谱面 for the rest, which involves designing the rhythm, frequency and length of the blocks falling down so it suited the tempo of the music.

I saw this in the drama super topic, and someone has created funny English fan names (with a heavy accent) for Luo Yunxi's characters:
Note: It's all derived from the Chinese word for fans, where 粉丝 = fen si = fans
Original Devil God 初代 = chu dai = chu si = truth (what our villain says is the truth XD)
Devil God 2.0 二代 = er dai = er si = earth
Devil God 3.0 三代 = san dai = san si = science
Fan of all 3 DGs = 魔神 = mo shen = mo si = MOSS (computer commanding station from popular Chinese movie Wandering Earth 2)

Tantai Jin 烬 = jin si = jeans (still survives after several washes, wear & tear) or Jesus (on trial for something he didn't do)
Cang Jiumin 九冥 = min si = means (defeated OG devil god)
Ming Ye = 夜 = ye si = yes (symbol of righteousness)

I think he's still the brand ambassador for Kilian, but they're pretty expensive lol

I'm still not over our evil philosopher the amber eyed original devil God lol, he is a literal higher existential being (from world of creation with Nvwa) that's totally on another level 😄

Maybe stockholm is a bit severe, but more like he was never treated nicely (apart from Xiao Lin in his early days), so despite all the misunderstandings and assassination attempts (from his perspective) he wanted to hold on to that thread of affection from LSS, no matter how thin or fragile

That while Tantai Jin was pretending to be evil Devil God and saying mean things, he had actually already prepared his own tombstone. For Ye Xiwu's tombstone, he engraved from his perspective "tomb of my beloved wife Ye", but for his own tombstone that he engraved using LSS perspective, he only wrote "husband Tantai Jin". So LSS probably felt regret and sadness that she never truly believed him until the last minute.

A lot of the logic is already different from the novel, i think we can make peace with the drama as it is. 😉

Tantai Jin "lied" cos he agreed when she said "let's die together" during the destruction of all-in distress way. He saved her by giving her the dragon scale, and she was pushed away

The writer He Fang also posted a long weibo explaining some of the settings. Some important points:

1. Story is three parts: LSS' mission, TTJ's growth arc, the battle between Devil God and Ancient Gods.

2. Mingye is a young dragon from the Eastern Sea who became the God of War due to his prowess. To the other ancient gods, he is just like a kid.

3. The mortal world takes inspiration from The Investiture of Gods, where there are bad kings, demons, cultivators, magic, madness etc. It's a fantastical setting prior to the first Chinese dynasty, and people switch allegiances all the time.

4. The weird rock formation holding TTJ and LSS' swing in the Jing palace gardens is a shattered piece from the Heaven's Pillar that fell during the battle 10,000 years ago.

5. Tantai Jin was initially surviving purely on animal instinct - his life was so bad he couldn't even reach the lowest level of Maslow's hierarchy of needs.

6. The original Devil God is like dark matter, a combination of all evil that is almost omnipresent. He has no emotions and doesn't care about anything, so LYX portraying him as jaded and alien-like is correct.

Tantai Jin became a god because even though his DNA is a devil god, his mentality has completely changed. His mindset of saving the world was so strong that he was able to absorb the original devil god. The white robes he is wearing is for gods only, and all the BTS call it the costume of TTJ becoming a god. In this drama's setting, gods don't get reincarnated (like the ancient 12)

It's just wishful thinking, if both of them died ofc they don't see each other...but you'd say something nice when you think you're about to die right

RE the ending: Tantai Jin did not reincarnate in the scale. He gave Mingye's heart-protecting scale to Li Susu during the destruction of the All-in-Distress Way. Only a sliver of his soul exists in the scale, which is equivalent to a thread of Mingye's soul being in the scale that saved Tantai Jin and Gongye Jiwu numerous times. But you can't say that Mingye is still alive, because he already died 10,000 years ago. Sliver of soul is not equal to being alive, and because the drama's setting is that gods do not reincarnate (Tantai Jin became a god in the ending), it's clear we got a BE.

Love the wedding vows. It's always struck me as weird in past xianxia dramas when demons would still pay respects the Heavens (gods) aka Ashes of Love...seriously? Love how TTJ and LSS are paying respects to all the sins and death in the world.
