On My Name Oct 17, 2021
Title My Name Spoiler
Wonderful cast, direction, and writing—even though I’m not a fan of gang fight scenes. They are all so good they kept my attention throughout, and I cared about all the leads. Strongly recommended. However. The ending was cynical and cruel. I lowered the score because of it.
On My Roommate Is a Gumiho Oct 14, 2021
All the cast is good, with JKY as usual on a different level, raising his character often to a tragic figure until the closure. LHR is often very funny and charming. The problem is the uneven writing with predictable and repetitive episodes in the second half. The series could have been stronger at 12 episodes. But I do recommend it as enjoyable most of the time.
On Bae In Hyuk Oct 12, 2021
Person Bae In Hyuk
As much as I admire Jang Ki Yong, I was really torn in this drama bc Bai In Hyuk is so compelling.
On Jang Ki Yong Oct 12, 2021
Person Jang Ki Yong
He’s beautiful and talented with tremendous range, but also his smooth, low voice is soothing and sensual at the same time.
On Lee Hye Ri Oct 12, 2021
Person Lee Hye Ri
Lovely, talented, hilarious, and charming. What a joy this young actress is.
On The 9th Precinct Oct 8, 2021
Though Korean is my favorite, I like Thai as well, and Roy Chiu is always good. This film is average, but enjoyable with a satisfying and even sweet ending.
On Man in Love Oct 7, 2021
Title Man in Love
I love this sweet, funny, tender, beautiful film. The cast is excellent, with Roy Chiu of course outstanding. Strongly recommended.
On Squid Game Oct 5, 2021
Title Squid Game Spoiler
Hype that will not stand up with time. This series does not measure up to the standards of good, much less great, Korean Drama. The cast is excellent, of course (except for the VIPs, though the inside joke on American actors is rich), but the plot is predictable from the beginning through to the end. From the moment 001 (a heavy-handed clue) showed up, the repetition mixed in with violence and gore was evident, and the outcome was predictable.

However. Blessings on Netflix for bringing international film to the world, especially during the pandemic. But don't try to own it, guys: just stream it.
On Seo Kang Jun Sep 28, 2021
Person Seo Kang Jun
Still not even 30 yet and is a superb actor…better than a lot of the scripts he has worked under.
On The Great Doctor Sep 25, 2021
If I love a movie or series, I buy the dvd so that I don’t have to look for the film after streaming stops. “Faith” has been on my shelf from the beginning, and I have watched it several times. Until CLOY, it was my favorite. The flaw is that its 24 eps are too many, and the director (a very sad story) really couldn’t handle it. However, I am one of the fans who does like the ending: it’s all in the eyes. “Faith” is charming, exciting, and deeply moving. Both leads are terrific as is the supporting cast. And if you like time slip, fantasy, romance, and historical along with some kick-butt action and a strong woman as well as a protective man, this is a great series.
On You Are My Destiny Sep 17, 2021
Second viewing since it first debuted. Love the leads, who are favorites, and their characters’ story. But the series is too long with repetitious and filler episodes which I got tired of and skipped. Never a good sign. Still, though it’s not the best series, it’s good—saved by the leads. I swear beautiful Jang Hyuk can do it all and continues to be one of the world’s great actors.
On Jang Hyuk Sep 11, 2021
Person Jang Hyuk
Simply the best. Every year I go back and rewatch favorites: right now it is “Fated to Love You” after rewatching “Chuno.” Sigh.
Replying to Melina Mitropoulou Sep 11, 2021
Person Jang Hyuk
I don't know why drama list doesn't have in his filmography the movie "dance of the dragon" but I have seen it…
Love him but did not know about this film. Thank you so much: will try to find it.
On The Devil Judge Sep 10, 2021
This is a fine series led by one of SK's finest actors and an excellent supporting cast. The direction and script are excellent, and except for some top heavy scenes and actors here and there, especially toward the end, it is already recognized by Korean Drama fans as one of the best. And once again Korea takes on difficult subjects that raise their filmmaking to another level. Strongly Recommended.
On Kim Min Jung Sep 8, 2021
Person Kim Min Jung
Brilliant KMJ is wonderful in Mr. Sunshine and breathtaking in Devil Judge.
On D.P. Sep 5, 2021
Title D.P.
I thought some of the episodes are a bit rough, but otherwise the series is superb, and main leads are excellent. I loved Jung Hae In and Koo Kyo Hwan and their relationship; then they and Jo Hyun Chul broke my heart with this important story. JHC commands the brilliant final episode in a heart-rending performance still retaining the essence of his sweet character—to our admiration and grief. I’m usually fine with the Korean one-season series, but there are a few I agree can go another round. This one has a lot more story it can explore.
On Jo Hyun Chul Sep 4, 2021
Person Jo Hyun Chul
Have liked him in other performances, and he is a personal favorite. But in this important series on such a tragic topic, he left me breathless and heartbroken, stunned and amazed. Outstanding performance.
On Jung Hae In Sep 4, 2021
Person Jung Hae In
As for many fans, Jung Hae In is one of my favorites, and I will always love him most in Something In The Rain, esp. the first 6 eps with SYJ. But his performance in DP along with his co-star KKH is brilliant and may be his best to date.
