Wonderful cast and series with a bullshit ending. It's their attempt to explain a historical sleeper, but it is jolting and non-sensical. Felt cheated.
Great cast and moments of charm and humor especially when focused on family, friends, and So Ji Sub with the precious kids. As an action film pretty uneven, though, but I enjoyed the light moments very much. It was obvious Ji Sub had worked with the kids, and they adored him, which you can see in the Behind the Scenes out takes. Recommended.
After losing Drama Fever 2 yrs ago in the middle, and this series not being on Viki, I finally found it on Kokowa. Trying out a subscription. We’ll see if I get to finish it this time. BTW, I dropped Viki bc of constant streaming issues since March.
I enjoy martial arts though more the artistry and finesse than gore and bloodshed. But what I really liked here was the powerful yet gentle love story and the two leads’ heartbreaking depictions of that love. But when I researched and found out more about the author, I was done.
I eventually found the battles too long and redundant, and some of the evil stuff and bullying repetitive and over the top. But I enjoyed the cast very much. The leads had great chemistry and were endearing. Would definitely watch Season 2 because I like them so much.
Wonderful actor; I have been more interested in him than CBK in Uncanny Counter, though I like him, too. This actor is a master of many feats and skills, and teaches others. He has a great career.
I love Jun Ji-hyun, and she is very good and more beautiful than ever in this revenge tragedy. I just felt the plot was slow to develop. But I look forward to seeing more of her in the series.
The cast is superb, and there are moments of jaw-dropping performance in great scenes, but also others that are tedious and repetitive because the writing is uneven. In short, what could have been a brilliant series is uneven at best.
I watched it again after many years, and though I love the leads, esp. SYJ, and the series has sweet moments, for me, it definitely has cringe-worthy scenes and others that simply do not hold up well.
Namgoong Min is a terrific lead in a fine cast. I thought the script was uneven and in parts draggy and repetitive, yet in other scenes quite effective and moving. I enjoyed the series for the most part and recommend it.
Jang Hyuk leads a great cast in an intricate plot with multiple themes circling the main revenge theme. It’s a master class in acting by one of SK’s greatest actors. Strongly recommended.
When you’re a great supporting actress like Jang So Yeon, you will always have a job. She’s had a 20-year career with many more years ahead. She’s been in wonderful movies and series. Loved her in CLOY.
