Exactly my thoughts. For this adaptation, because of all the fantasy mystical stuffs, they really need to do a good job with the CGI. I just hope they’re saving their budget for the CGIs.
The untamed was xianxia, but this one has more xianxia elements. I believe Wuxia is martial arts.

I felt the same. The first time I watched it, CGI bothered me a lot, I cringed so hard at those scenes. But I still liked how the story stayed close to the novel as much as possible. I just hope Eternal Faith has enough budget for decent CGIs.

At this point, I just hope they surprise us. :)

No I meant the staff. Like the screen writers, costume designers, music producers etc. They all did a wonderful job of bringing the characters to life.

Honestly I don’t think it would work. Unlike Mo Ran, Chu Wanning had a fairly happy and stable childhood and with his personality, he’s not the type of person to dwell on his dark memories and grow his hatred based on them. Even with Taxian-Jun, CWN only kept blaming himself instead of truly hating TXJ, so I don’t think the flower would have worked like it did on Mo Ran. I guess the only effect the flower would have on him is to fall in love with Shi Mei, just like Mo Ran did.
