I am a girls girl but the female lead in this one is just a let down for me, apart from being with the guy does…
She pursues a career, is quite smart to have studied what she did and has a great enviable job/ career choosing to be in a place that made her happy. She is also a decisively strong character in the drama, even slightly more than the ML, ( both characters are quite compatible as both share these action oriented traits). She also actively takes care of her mother when she could, she is extremely self aware and is not afraid to make important decisions, be it for herself or those she loves. The character of Jiang Mu might be superficially distracting with all her cuteness, giggles and teasing, but she is a deeply feeling person and displays high emotional maturity.
For few days it went up to 8.6, we were all ecstatic. someone mentioned MDL tends to be stingy with ratings however considering how popular it is, the hater ratings seem to have targeted the drama in downvoting. There have also been issues with EveCore's excellent review getting mass downvoted.
I was scrolling down to check if anybody else felt like this and exactly! One review describes it as swoon-worthy, I might have lost my eyeballs for a second there!
Can anyone give a perspective of what Chinese men think of the plot of this drama? Is the pseudo sibling trope feeding a certain fetish that can be considered a red flag???
P.S. ml and fl are NOT blood related so please refrain from commenting on that aspect within the drama. I am looking for a more cultural discussion.

Their intensity and deep connection keeps coming back in waves, I don't think we can ever get over the longing and love this drama and its excellent music stirs within us. I hear reunion for a few seconds and the feelings return almost like a personal reminiscence. Trying very very hard to move on, it truly holds an emotional tug.
I have a serious grouse with the drama so far on episode 4, why are we still with this second male lead? I am good with all the college life exposition but so much time is being spent on this relationship, it's as if we have been baited by one thing and served something else completely.
