Arg stupid charachter limitation sorry about the long msg. ;)

For good? I don't know I have a tendency to get caught up in stuff. Sometimes it's movies and drama's, sometimes work and other times something totally different. So I expect there will be periods of absence from MDL but I'll always come back. ;) Movies are my first love plus mixed with the Asian stuff it's a powerful addiction. :P

With different I mean not the usual stuff. I'm looking for +/- 8 movies and I got most of the classics covered. Seven Samurai, Seppuku etc. But I'm looking for Samurai themed movies to please the people who aren't into the old classics per se. I have to mix up the pacing of the movies a bit for those people.

Stress free not so much but yeah I did have fun. LOL

Anything interesting going on in drama land?

For me I'm looking for some "different" samurai movies to screen on my next movie weekend. Plus I have Casshern and Goemon on my personal PRIO PTW list. Anything good going on with what you're watching lately?

LOL No never be sorry for a recommendation! Actually I should have gotten back on you on that one but I haven't been posting on MDL. I've only been updating my list been meaning to find time to write some replies and an opinion on re-encounter.
I actually am planning to watch it again during a movie weekend with friends so my rating might change. For now it didn't capture my heart for 2 reasons I didn't feel the motivation or pain from the male lead and thus found his actions empty and the ending was a disappointment for me. Overall I did like the movie and kept me interested while watching but nothing more and then the ending was disappointing that's how the rating turned out harsh. :P But the movie was a big change of pace compared to all the other movies I'm watching atm so maybe I wasn't able to appreciate it at it fullest.
But please recommend away I love recommendations!

Thanks for the tip found some interesting Korean ones worth looking at might be adding them to my own list if I can find them subbed. ;) I think it will prove more difficult to find older T-Drama's.

Hiya, I was just surfing and cruising the MDL pages and I saw something about your 2014 challenge. This is very interesting! Will you be making a list? How are you going to decide on drama's? I'm thinking about going back in time and making this happen for me in 2014 as well. Unless the drama's are excruciating bad of course and watching them will mean a slow painful dead. LOL But on the other had I had good experiences with older drama's.

Some people might think it's far fetched but I loved it. Nope no incest. ;)

Oh well I'm quite pleased with my movies recently. I'm just sticking to crime, thriller, historical and horror. It really fits my taste so even if the movie isn't that great I'm still enjoying myself. LOL But some I've seen and liked the most in the crime/thriller genre are I Saw The Devil, Joint Security Area, The Client, The Yellow Sea, Running Wild. For historical it's 14 Blades, When The Last Sword Is Drawn, Oba: The Last Samurai and Yojimbo. The horrors I've liked Three...Extreme's, Re-Cycle, Gozu, Silk. Three...Extreme's being my favorite with 3 different takes on horror from three directors. I've been on a Takashi Miike streak and seen a couple of crazy yakuza movies like Fudoh and Rekka and still planning to watch the Dead or Alive trilogy. So I'm busy enough even without following a drama. :P

I understand In the mean time I'll just enjoy myself while it lasts when I see "Yamada-san added a comment in our profile". Hehe

As for the Korean male lead in Lovers. He is so typical and exactly my guilty pleasure I wouldn't mind watching more Korean romantic drama's full of shameless cliche wrist grabbing's just to get a regular dose of macho fake gangsters. ;)

LOL I had momentarily forgotten about the "sharing of happiness" yes I agree bat crazy. LOL

Don't apologize for the two posts. There should be a petition for more characters on the profiles. Have you noticed how it says you have 1800 characters before you start typing but then after pressing one key there are only 899 left. I usually start my sentences with a capital but they usually don't take up the space of 901 characters. :P Also after further inspection I noticed that some people seem to be able to post longer replies on profiles. I'm suspecting some sort of conspiracy. Maybe it's designed to discourage us from procrastinating on MDL and urge us to get on with the drama and movie watching. ;)

Well when I first saw your name I was instantly reminded of my hero Yamada Takayuki so it's a name you can be proud of. :P So I don't mind the change, but you'll still be Winnie to all of us I think. ;)

Hehe your review made me chuckle. You're totally right. I mentioned before right, that the leads might be difficult to relate to. That's what makes most people lose faith in this drama. I just love the quirkiness of it all, I mean seriously I think Irie is very close to being crazy and Yui is not falling far behind. It's just I find almost everything in this drama so unexpected and I still don't have anything I can compare it with. I get annoyed with innocent heroines but Yui is too "real" to be a candy character and Irie has so many antihero traits to keep me fascinated. Plus then there's the proverbial cherry on top (or dare I say strawberry :P), in the wacky but strangly fitting ending.

Anyway I'm glad one more person watched it and a 7 isn't that bad. :P

How's Lovers treating you? You're not liking Mr. Dimples?

Oh yes I also saw Montage. I also had great fun watching that one although I thought it was a little predictable. It didn't bother me much though still was a great ride and really a movie to my liking. The same evening I watched Rainbow Eyes and I loved that movie even better it's a murder/mystery and I really appreciated the twist don't know if you will though. I know you said you'll be watching 2013 movies and drama's but when you get the change you should check out Joint Security Area, also a great watch.

Never say never to watching drama's but right now I'm not living alone and I like to watch drama's alone in my own pace. Movies are easier to watch together or to watch just one when you have an hour or two to spare. In January I'll be living alone again and I'll be picking up my drama's again.

Oh and I read about your injury! Hope you get well soon plus happy belated b-day!
