Hahahahaha the first time I watched it I thought the same thing. I was excited that they were going to move into…
Exactly! I didn't even consider that there might be other people in the room and I was so disappointed!!! Especially because I thought the chance to see them sleeping in one bed was over, but luckily they found another way to bless us with this scene ππ₯°
Putting my hatred aside, my biggest praise goes to the casting team (who found the most amazing and perfect cast for the roles) and the lead actors, they just pulled it off in a way no one else could have. I love them to death πβ€οΈ
And now I have to go in search of the novel to tame my inner wounded child who can't handle these kinds of endings π₯²
i think it's chronic disease for cdrama writer when the have writing block. they just resort to "noble idiocy"…
True π. Whereby amnesia is the super excuse for everything and for me the worst and most annoying thing ever (even more annoying than idiocy) π
(It's like, βOh no. I suddenly realize that all the drama I've been writing isn't working, logically there's no reasonable way out/end to this storyline anymore...Ok, take the emergency exit, let's use amnesia and reset everything back to 0β π)
I agree. We can see it in several dramas and it is quite common for them rsrsrs
I know, and I think it's great that it's possible! (And I envy their youthful looks) Itβs just damn funny to imagine the same thing with Europeans or Americans, it wouldn't work at all and everyone would think the casting team is a bit gaga lol
What has been filmed and aired so far is more or less half of the book this drama is based upon. If (and that's…
Thank you so much, you helped me a lot π₯Ήππ«Άπ«Ά
I feared the worst (that he was traveling to the US or something, so it actually calmed me down a bit π ) At least they're both in the same country (and both are still alive and not terminally ill π΅ I've seen too much stuff in BLs over the years lol)
Nonetheless, it will definitely bother me if that's the ending because obviously it's like a big cliffhanger. Being used to Chinese BLs that never get sequels, I'm pretty unsure if there will ever be a second season (given what's going on politically in Taiwan, I wouldn't count on it, sad as it may be π ), so I'm also very glad to know that the option to read the novel is still open if needed.
Youβre literally my lifesaver β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ Thanks again π€

Could you please explain the ending in more detail? Like what is actually going to happen? I need to prepare myself T_T (and is it very close to the novel? Would it be possible to continue reading with the ending of the drama?)
Oh shit, this is perfect π. I've been hesitant to watch it because I've read that the ending probably isn't my thing, but I wanted to at least give it a try.... now I've watched six episodes throughout the night (it's now 4am π€¦ββοΈ) and I don't know what to do! On one hand it's like a drug, I'm hooked and don't want to stop, on the other hand I'm scared of the end.... π This is a masterpiece, it's just perfect πβ€οΈ
Nope. I liked the movie much better. Overall, it's a good drama, but not really a good BL. There are too many things that were problematic for my taste.
For example: 1. what's the point of 12 episodes if you don't use them to the fullest? It felt like there were 5 episodes where the main characters didn't interact at all! The girl was completely unnecessary and had way too much screen time for my liking. And all the unnecessary flashbacks and pauses where you just stare at one person.... 2. there was literally no development in the relationship. One person confessed his love in the beginning, and then nothing. It was like it only occurred to them in the last episode, βoh yeah, it's supposed to be a bl, let's wrap this part up tooβ. In general I would have liked them to use the 12 episodes to show the mains growing together, building a relationship and coping with life (including living together, getting jobs etc) together, I would have enjoyed that a lot more.
Conclusion: the subject matter is interesting and overall it's a solid drama with good actors, but the BL aspect is seriously lacking. (Please keep in mind that Iβm only expressing my personal opinion).
Lastly: Please feel free to enlighten me about the manga, is the BL part absent, too? Is there more to see about their relationship or their later lives? Or is the drama 1:1 based on the manga?
no im sorry π it's great show though, maybe try it out some time later? it's really beautiful
Oh noβ¦π₯² I was waiting for it to finish cause I already feared it wouldnβt have a happy end, but having it confirmed is jus so sad..π (I believe itβs an amazing series but I just canβt watch anything with a bad ending anymore, my heart is already damaged enough from other dramas π)
All in all, it's a nice and light drama. It has a good plot, generates enough emotion and seems to be well written. And there is Charles Tu β€οΈ
Nevertheless, there are 2 things that disappointed me a little: 1. the kisses and the caresses are too clean, too staged, lacking realism. And contributes to a strange distance between the couple (small details are missing in the whole drama, like small touches or eye contact in certain scenes, which also bothered me).
2. what was the ending? It made no sense to me at all because it literally made the point of the drama redundant? (SPOILER: I mean, he lost 6 years to start over with the help of his new found love and his good old friend who always supported him, only to disband the band again? He broke up with his manager and the young one didn't want to play anymore either? What was the point of them playing together in the first place? That disappointed me pretty much..
But these are just my personal thoughts, so please don't feel offended by it.
This one is a bit like the vertically filmed Chinese super short dramas (not vertically filmed, but it has a similar fast and superficial plot). Don't expect great depth or high caliber actors.
But for what it is, it's quite cute and entertaining to watch (like a little snack for in between lol). I liked it
(But I was a bit surprised that they showed the scene openly, without any...covering π)
