i’m most intrigued by the switch up between the dead’s (hyunju’s mom and jiyeong) abilities. irl the mom can speak and hear but she can’t in this world, vice versa for jiyoung. curious how this will play out
the way i love a drama and then i come to mdl and the comments are just… looks like only ppl with frustrations comment on this app. anyway, didn’t feel like being a silent enjoyer today. this is my second fav currently airing drama after light shop, and ju jihoon being in both these dramas with very diff roles is just crazy to me! 🤯
one is granddaughter and the other is so the now the rivalry is between one's grandfather to one's father? that…
honestly don’t think it’s too confusing. the past shown are the grandpas fighting for the girl (but only one grandpa is still alive i guess 🤷♀️ so the late seok grandpa’s rivalry is continued by his son, seok jiwon’s dad)
So we’re gonna see many moments of the leads(teen version)? Are you 100 % Sure? Bcs MdL is saying that they’re…
I was also confused seeing them listed as guest. probably they’ll fix it later. idk if there’s a subbed version… but at 51:40 here: https://youtu.be/ptQv3u5wWxE?si=wm9s-mnqb0EIdu-D (he briefly mentions it while answering another question)
Q: what’s the charming point/chemistry specific to seok jiwon and yun jiwon?
JJH: In my opinion, since we have lots of child actor (teen) scenes, so the viewers are not just listening to/hearing our stories but witnessing the feelings as it is, so then our inside feelings of OUR (grown) characters can be viewed objectively. I think all of us here will relate, despite being adults we all have a child within ourselves, so when you view seok jiwon and yun jiwon fight you don’t hate or wish one would win, but see it as cute sometimes, cheer for them at other times. won’t the viewers themselves reminisce similar relationships they’ve had in life? that’s how i viewed the script.
I was so excited for this drama bc of the main cast. but during press conference JJH mentioned there’d be many childhood scenes and I was scared whether I’d be sold on their chemistry or if they’d eat up the screentime of the main couple. fortunately, none of my worries have happened and I’m enjoying both their older and younger selves’ plot line. Although we’re only one ep in, I’m absolutely looking forward to this!
had watched the main story years ago and couldn’t recall all that had happened, so i went and rewatched the final ep before i started watching this now. idk why i’m watching this so late but it really was entertaining. more screentime for the support characters. absolutely enjoyed this
i feel like ppl who cannot appreciate this drama are the kinda audience that have been conditioned by kdramas to only see things in binary (good/bad, red/green, toxic/nontoxic, happy/sad) i watched this like i was watching a movie, there was depth to the characters and the story was never obvious (unlike typical kdramas) personally i wish they don’t ruin the show with more seasons (ppl gonna hate me for this) bc i think the ending was perfectly handled. leaves one with nostalgia, regret and hope (just like the protagonist)
so mad at jo eunoh rn. but she clearly not okay, so we can’t blame her choosing familiar red flag over receiving proper love from the green forest… ugh! still pisses me off 😖
You know what. After the ending, I still think gyuho is going back to korea and they gonna be together again.…
that’s what we want to believe, and that’d have made this a typical drama. but this drama is much more realistic than a fairy tale “happily-ever-after”
yesterday I wanted to selfishly believe gyuho would come back for young and they’d live happily ever after. but today i realised that the drama has already shown how their relationship had become stagnant and the beautiful memories were only made in bangkok (disappeared as soon as they were back to their real life) there’s also the issue with kylie and condoms that was clearly affecting their sex life. overall gyuho is just his best memory of being in love. but i’m glad although none of the men in young’s life lasted, his friends was with him till the end. probably the only “love” that lasts is friendship?
