im very 50/50 on this lol. EX. she was working with Fan Ling Er but the drama didn't show that as to not spoil the plot twist, but it makes sense how it was orchestrated (fan ling er played the crazy jealous SFL so she could get locked up and secretly release the white snake). for hong lian, her story seems too genuine to be part of HRY's plot, but it would be craazy if HRY actually wanted the fake widow woman to stab her so that BJS would expend his energy saving her (betting on the fact he would show up before she bled and died a mortal without completing her revenge plot). might be revealed later who knowwss

just realized how much i love original scripts, we can all speculate freely and continuously guess along as the show airs. it's nice that novels get picked up and authors get noticed, but there is def more creative freedom with this show since there are no novel fans that complain about changes 😅

it's like in all xianxias where the more you love them, the more secrets you keep (kills the hearts of the characters and the viewers 😭). although it would've been more honest for BJS to explain to HRY why he was against having children, he most likely knew she would be headstrong and risk her health for the birth, so he "lied" by omission. i think it's possible that she was already pregnant when she asked him about whether he wanted children or not, and after that it's just a battle of silence 😖she won't confess her pregnancy and he won't open up about his real concerns, but i would still like more moments of mortal realm sweetness pls

it's so complicated lolool. my theory is that she believed her and her child were abandoned without explanation, thus believes she doesn't owe any explanation for her hatred towards him. kind of like a "you know what you did" moment, but ultimately the tragedy rests in the fact that he probably did all that unintentionally / had his actions misinterpreted by HRY.

not revealed bc it's an original plot, but trailers kinda support the theories: first life HRY and BJS were in love, she was pregnant but his attitude made her believe he would reject this new family life so kept it secret. there's a scene where it looks like she's in pain on bed and he's trying to use magic on her (?), which I believe is what might've hurt the child and her weak pregnant body which BJS knew nothing about. it's probably one of those classic xianxia spells where you lose power or suffer great pain so your life can be saved. her revenge mission was mainly for the child, so he never understood the source of her anger. he seems like the type to try to save her while keeping her in the dark about his motives.

cool theory! I was under the assumption that the child was dead, but then again the several timelines make it a bit confusing, so perhaps there is hope for his life. I also think third party is plausible, or just pure misunderstanding. The trailer shows that BJS shows indifference/lack of care towards having a child, which probably made HRY scared to confess that she was pregnant at the time, thinking he would reject her and the child. The scene on the bed where it looks like he's taking away power from her and she's in terrible pain is probably how the child was hurt unintentionally? Like she would be very weak in a pregnant state, and BJS being in the dark would just continue without stopping for mercy.
