im rewatching the show while waiting and in episode 9 around 41:00, he pauses after saying “ your intelligence is mediocre and you’re not outstanding, but..” and he just switches the topic. was he gonna theorize or catch her off guard?

some people prefer historical and some prefer office theme, but OFL is lighthearted and SOKP has a more layered plot since it’s political. i wouldn’t say bailu’s acting is better in one than the other. in OFL she’s the usual well put together office lady who loves a rich ceo. in SOKP she is burdened by her past sin and wishes to make amends so in this drama she’s able to showcase more skills imo :)

goofball characters never get serious moments unless the writer wants to make them important last minute. like all of a sudden their iQ increases tenfold and actually grow a brain

id love to see bailu as a general, i think last time was like 2018 untouchable lovers

i think it's bc majority of dramas save flashbacks for like climax scene (flashbacks right before death, entire drama summarized in 10 seconds)
while with two lifetimes plot it relies on comparing and contrasting her choices that would ultimately lead her to a new destiny

imo if a 38 episode show had an official kissing scene ten episodes in it'd only go downhill after since political-romance dramas will almost always be slowburns. it'll come soon depending on your standards but the eye contact is deadly enough <33

due to the daughter switchup, JXN lived in the countryside until she was brought to the capital at 14 years old (her mother figure wan niang wrote a letter to the jiang family to inform them of this). JXN's father sent XW to return with her cause they were both on the same path and he worried for her safety.
