I've tried so hard to like this. They took out the messy hookups of season 1 and just left drama and entitled assholes behind. Every character here has a victim complex that has gotten very old. We're 6 episodes in and there's been no character growth. I don't think I like any character aside from Rome. Jack and Dean are the worst they deserve eachother. I have started skipping every scene they're in because I can't stand watching them. AouBoom are the only reason I'll keep watching.
This series is getting a lot of hate in the comments. But I really liked it! No nothing really happened in the last episode, but I enjoyed watching them be cutie patooties with eachother.
Yes the pacing was slow and I watched it all on 1.5 or 2x speed, but that could be said about a lot of BL's. In my opinion people are missing what the plot was or expecting more than a story of 2 people. There was no secondary storyline or plot device winding through the series that the couple had to deal with, the storyline was simply PeachLover and Peach transforming into a real couple.
Yeah there were a lot of NC scenes but the series layout mirrored the story, when they meet as potential adult video partners of course it's all sex. The NC scenes lessened as they went on, or at least the vibe was different. Po's character especially showed emotional growth, I loved his diary clips at the end of every episode.
Yes there could have been more storyline going on outside their relationship to fill out the series. I am surprised there wasn't a disapproving parent plot because Sasom at one point said he's not allowed to hang out with anyone his parents don't deem famous enough and they are very controlling. But I know nothing of the source material or the production/behind the scenes of this series so I don't know what went in to the script and what may have gotten cut, and to be honest how often do people complain about all the extra stories and cliches that get put in BL's? This avoided a lot of that and still gets complaints.
All in all I am happy with the series, a story that focuses on one couple and the changing dynamic of their relationship and growth, with some good NC scenes. It won't be for everyone but I don't think it deserves quite this much hate!
the multiple personality thing has thrown me a bit. I thought he just had repressed memories from the trauma,…
I can't tell if it's multiple personalities or something like attempted personality/memory suppression/replacement by the Grandma and her Dr. Either way he should never go back to his Grandma's house.
This series keeps getting better. I was going to skip it because ForceBook series always seem to let me down but I'm glad I didn't because this is by far their best series.
I was going to binge it but after reading all the comments, I shall take my leave.
Binge on 2x speed for context (10 eps with about 8 minutes of run time each goes quick) then read all the comments here. It's more entertaining than the series itself.
I'm confused. Was there a storyline at all here, what wven happened in this series? And I never thought I would ever say this about a BL, but why is there so much kissing?? I get the idea they were going for but it's like they didn't know how to write dialoge and they thought they could hide that with way too many kiss scenes.
It was a pretty good series. The over the top family infighting and drama, the mismatched main couple (one a good person one bad), lots of killing in an attempt to control the family business/fortune, all very standard series tropes but they did it well, Including the unrealistic ending. I didn't like the end, it felt unresolved in a lot of ways but that's usually the case with these shows, realism and consequences would get in the way of BL ending. Solid and enjoyable to watch, 8/10 rating for me, Daou, Offroad and the rest of the cast carried it well. With surprisingly all around solid acting from everyone and good production, you can tell a lot of work and money went into this series.
This was over acted and over dramatic but it was a fun, quick, addicting series. That's the magic of shorts, I love watching them. I'm not saying shorts are perfect but sometimes they're better than watching a 16 hour long episode series that could have been finished in half the time and turned out disappointing and a waste of time to watch.
This is pretty good, though the pacing is a bit slow and the main character is a bit wooden at times. I like the story, the plot has potential, but I'm hoping they don't go overboard trying to put too much in.
For example the developing love triangle aspect; unless it has direct bearing on the main plot (maybe it does), I think it would take away from the main storyline. Maybe I'm just sick of love triangles.
Definitely a binge type of series though. Between the slow pace and waiting on the next episode I feel like I am not enjoying it as much as I could considering how much I love a paranormal BL. I might put it on hold until it's complete.
I'm so disappointed in this series. I love vampire and supernatural stories and from the first trailer from WabiSabi I've been looking forward to this series more than any other in recent years. I'm not even a BounPrem ship fan, I was looking forward to the series. And then this parody of a Vampire series came out and I don't think I've ever been so let down by a series.
I don't know what GMMTV was thinking, but they ruined the concept. No shade to the actors, they did a good job, but I'm just speechless at what this series turned into. I was looking forward to a dark, mysterious, action/drama vampire BL headed by Boun which was an amazing choice for Ramil, but it was GMMTVified into a below average, very forgettable series. The ending was so anti-climatic, it was just over and then they all lived happily ever after.
I get that GMMTV is a powerhouse in the Thai entertainment industry and it's a good bet for BL actors, but maybe they should produce less of their own BL series and contract their actors out to other productions. Have good artist management, have good safeguards for the artists, make sure they're not put in situations or seeies they're not comfortable in and not taken advantage of, but producing a series like this does nothing for the artists. I'm going to say something that many people will disagree with, but I hope BounPrem do not do another BL together. They were great in Between Us, but in Revamp they had no chemistry and if felt awkward to watch them as a couple.
Just finished a rewatch of this to see it all at once and I increased my rating for the show. You can really see the talent of the actors, especially Sea. It was also just a really good production. GMMTV did well with this one, I've really been enjoying 10 episode series from them, cuts out so much unnecessary filler and time wasting so we're left with a solid series with good flow and no storyline stalls.
My only curiosity was In having a preminition of Karn at the end, because I thought he only had uninivited premonitions of people important to him. My only thought was maybe because Karn was important to Thap In's prophecy sense knew that, because that premonition didn't really have anything to do with Thap or the case (like In's vision of the mystery moon tattoo man did), except that if it did come true Thap would be sad.
I really enjoyed this. I loved the cutesy vampires, wish it were longer. So many KBLs are so short like this so I've learned to appreciate them for themselves, then go find the source material so it feels more complete!
I feel like the whole series was so good that it was going to be hard to wrap up satisfactorily. I agree with the comments saying we needed more of a proper resolution with the 2nd couple, I guess we're supposed to assume a happy ending there, but even the main couple's ending didn't really satisfy me though it was clear. Most of the episode I just kept feeling like I was missing something, I think that's more of an editing fail than any issue with the story.
I haven't read the source material so I do not know the details and how everything came to be in the end. The last episode was rushed, they had so much to fit into it and it wasn't done well, it either needed to be an episode longer or they needed to cut some filler from earlier episodes to wrap up the main couple a bit earlier and then focus on the 2nd couple and everyone's future for the majority of the last episode.
In general Wen Lang didn't get enough character development like the main couple or even Gau Tu, I would have liked to know more, but I did really enjoy his character in the final scenes of the last episode. Overall I definitely recommend watching, a solid 8.5/10 for the first 15 episodes, after the finale a 7.5/10. It's a good story and I'm going to put the book on my never ending list of original works I need to read.
