It was good, and I honestly recommend it. I've never listened to Only One Of and didn't even know the cast was all a group until I read the cast page here. I liked the cast their chemistry together was great, and most of the acting very well done, I've definitely seen worse. Overall, it's a cute drama with a good story, and it didn't force unneeded mature content to try and popularize the drama. Some BL's don't need mature content, and this one I think it wouldn't have suited the characters.
BUT there are some things that annoyed me. It had a lot of potential, but it didn't quite reach it because of the ridiculous 8 15-minute episodes format. These should be 6 30-minute episodes to stretch runtime to three hours, just a bit longer, but would (hopefully) give better resolution to the story and all characters. It just wasn't enough time to fully explore the story, so it was rushed and the end was kind of unsatisfying for me.
Also, I hate the gay on demand marketing idea and even though it's reality in the BL marketing world I wish they wouldn't make dramas around it.
I had high hopes but unfortunately this show really fell short for me. I felt the acting of Ja and First was a let down, especially Ja. Maybe the characters just didnt suit them? The second couple kept me in it and I liked Boston quite a bit, I finished the series just for his character.
If I remember corretly initially it was supposed to be a tiger, but they changed to a dog in cutie pie (for budget…
Thanks! I understand wanting to be faithful to the original work, but it just gets confusing for us who havenโt read it. I do think a tiger would make more sense than a dog, but that CGI just ruined it for me.
Wait..wasn't it a dog that attaked Kon Diao and he already remembered all that? I hate it when they change plots in spin offs. There could have been enough storyline with Kon Diao's twisted family, the accident mystery, and Yi trying to win him back. They really didn't need to rewrite their backstory. Also I do prefer CGI to the use of drugged up animals like Unforgotten Night, but damn that CGI was just comical!
Well, I finished it. Didnt think I would, but I fast forward a lot. I found both leads to be red flags, and very one dimensional, also the storyline was a mess. I feel like the cast did the best they could with what they were given.
I had hoped this season would be better. It was a cute story inseason 1 but if season 2 is just a replay of Minato running away from Shin's affection I can't watch it. Too boring.
What did I just watch ๐ that ending episode was a train wreck. It feels kind of like it was supposed to be more episodes and they cut a bunch of stuff and crammed it into the last two episodes just to end it.
Well, I was wondering how they would manage to have the couple together in the end. I don't don't see a problem with age gap couples, so it was a good end for me but I see lots of hate for the end.
I wish they had told Gear and Night's story and the early days of Day and Itt instead of this amnesia arc. Both couples are toxic and have awful origins, but it would have been more going on and had more character insight at least. Toxicity aside I would have liked this more but it's so slow and 11 episodes in I feel like nothing has happened.
