I just checked and it seems like the ending is a little open ended, but generally happy! I had hoped for an ending like Queen In Hyun, since its by the same people, but it doesn't look like it wraps everything up nice and neatly, which can be a bummer! But I think
It's worth it! I'm on episode 6 now, I will totally wait for you to catch up if you want to watch it with me! The lead guy is sooooooooooooo hot! Like drooling over him hot sometimes :p

Yes, that is my bedroom :) the picture is a section of my paperbacks. I always love meeting people who love to read! What genres do you like? Ever since I started my kdrama obsessions, my book obsession has fallen to the wayside a bit!

Missing You and King2Hearts are two of my absolute favorites!! Love Rain is also great one :) you are in the middle of so many dramas, I'm jealous! I can't keep up with more than one or two at a time!

I tried it yesterday on my Tablet, and it didn't work, but when you said it worked on your iPad, I tried it on my iPhone and it worked! Thanks for that, it's great to know I have a backup for Jdramas :)

Haha, I think you have me worried enough, that I probably won't ever actually pick it up! Song Seung Hun better make a really, really awesome drama next, though! I didn't even start Time Slip, it got so many ridiculously awful reviews! I actually did like Faith, though if I could have changed the ending, I would in a heartbeat!

Just read your When A Man's Love review and it makes me so sad :( two flops in a row for Song Seung Hun breaks my heart! But since I refuse to watch Time Slip, I might just give When a Man's love a try someday! I'll make sure to stop by for my told you so if I ever do! :p

I think what is great about this article is the discourse it opened up! I don't think there has been an article where more people have typed such lengthy, well-thought out responses. The article was a valiant effort, and it's great how you were able to get so many people involved, 0000!! Great job :)

So, maybe I am an exception, because I like J-dramas way more ... but that's maybe because I don't really care…
I wish I could heart your comment more than once, asliceofkate! Give me romance, or give me nothing :p It is definitely why I prefer kdramas to jdramas!

I love dramas like that!! No matter how many times you watch it, it's not ever enough! I have a few dramas like that that I have seen so many times I can practically recite them :p

Yes, for the most part! There are some dramas that grab you from the get go! Like with Missing You, or Reply 1997. Oh, or King2hearts! I much prefer the dramas that grab on in that first episode. In Hyun had me from the first few seconds, when you see Hee Jin and Boong Do meet, but a lot of people have complained the first episode was boring, so I always try to warn people not to give up!

Awesome! It does have a some Joseon Era parts, but for the most part it's in the present. The first episode is a little slow, but I promise by the third episode, you'll be hooked :)

I see you don't have Queen In Hyun's Man on your Plan To Watch list! You should definitely add it! It's the best drama I have ever seen :) the romance in it is epic!!

I am extremely limited on what websites I can watch shows on, because all I have is my tablet and a Roku. My dumb tablet doesn't play flash videos, so I can't watch from 95% of the websites I've come across :( I think Dramacrazy has a fairly large collection of jdramas, at least a lot more than any of the sites I mentioned previously. I wish they would release an app for Roku! As for stories, I think I have been bad at picking them. All of the ones I've watched have been absurd. And the acting is so over the top. Too be fair, kdrama acting is as well, but I think the production value helps me get over it. Not t mention, the jdramas I've watched (excluding Buzzer Beat) have all been extremely slapstick, anime-like and I hate that! I know there are good jdramas out there that I want to try, but my limitations on finding them make it easier to stick to kdramas.

Taiwanese dramas are even worse! There are only two or three tdramas I have considered watching and two of them aren't even finished being subbed even almost a year after they aired!

I think availability also has a negative impact on the amount of people who watch and rave about Jdramas and Tdramas. I haven't watched many Jdramas, they aren't my thing, but I do find that with the Jdramas that I am interested in maybe starting, I have a harder time finding subs for the shows. I am a lazy person who doesn't expend a ton of effort on things, so Dramafever, Kdrama, Netflix and Viki putting things right at my fingertips (and able to stream directly to my tv or tablet) makes it a no-brainer to watch a Kdrama before a Jdrama.

I could totally be wrong about this, as this is totally an assumption, but I'd think if the demand for Jdramas were higher, then Viki/Dramafever/Netflix would make a bigger effort to get those onto the viewer's screens. Or maybe Japan just makes it harder for English (and other language streamers) to stream their programming? I'm not sure what the cause is, but it remains that the effect is that casual drama watchers have very little exposure to Japanese dramas from the main sources of drama streaming.

Geezer? What does "most geezer death" mean? Here geezer just means an eccentric old man, and none of…
I'm glad I'm not the only one who didn't understand that!
