I think it's really about the perfect image that everyone has of her at work and how she's the complete opposite…
Well it is not hard to find a better 2ML. This one was bloody awful. I refer to him as "creepy & icky". Seriously a stranger kissing you while you are sleeping is NOT cute or romantic. It is creepy & icky.
Can I ask how long we have to put up with her mooning over the creepy 2ML? I have just watched the first episode and if the options are "arrogant & pompous" vs "creepy & icky", i will take "arrogant & pompous" every time. I think the drama has potential, BUT if the FL is going to be mooning over "creepy & icky" for most of the series (just because he sexually assaulted her whilst she was sleeping), I think I will just give up now.
Can I just say that despite the male lead being a pompous arse, as soon as the 2ML creepily kissed the female lead whilst she was sleeping, I was team ML from the first episode. She had just met him the day before, barely spoke to each other and he sees she is asleep and kisses her. WTF. What the 2ML did was NOT cute, it was NOT romantic, it WAS fucking creepy and icky.
Ok I tried. I watched 4 episodes but the FL is so over the top I can't even bear to watch. I'm so frustrated by…
I am on the first episode and I like the female lead but it is bloody frustrating how dumb & passive she is in general. When she pulled out the contract and gave it to the ML, I knew he was going to rip it up and tell her to leave. And then she just accepts him telling her to leave. sigh. And don't even get me started on her reaction to the creepy 2ML sexually assaulting her whilst she was sleeping.
In actuality, the foster brother was originally the leading man, with CEO Terry as the 2ML. Half way through the…
From what I read, this drama was still being filmed only a couple episodes in front of what was shown on TV, so they were making changes based on feedback. At the start, James Wen was listed as the ML in all promo material. But the audience feedback as the episodes were being shown was overwhelmingly in favour of Chris Wu's Terry that midway through, Chris Wu was suddenly listed as the lead in all promo material.
To me the foster brother character was always a terrible choice as the romantic lead. The character is pretty unlikable. There is also the fact he had NO romantic interest in her until she became pretty.
Overall, a very watchable drama. The leads were fabulous and there was good acting all round. The first ten episodes…
When does the FL become even close to likeable? I usually find Chinese FLs a lot more likeable than Chinese MLs, but here the FL is an out and out bitch (and she is proud of it). She reminds me of the villain from "Graceful Family".
At best it is a positive yet unsatisfactory ending. (I do not consider endings where the couple only gets together in the last 1-5 minutes a happy ending).
I know this is a late reply, so you probably already know;, but for anyone else wanting the answer to your question)
This was a disappointing drama. I cant believe i watched all of it, all in the hope that it would give me something…
The lead couple getting [back] together in the last 1-5 minutes is NOT a "happy ending" imo. Especially if they have spent the majority of the series in a push-pull relationship. It gets annoying when commenters call these type of endings "happy". The best you can say is it is a positive yet unsatisfying ending.
Dropped this 10 minutes into the first episode. The lead (in this case, the female lead) acting thoughtlessly/stupid/annoying…
I had issues with the FL (and the actress), BUT the first episode is very much an outlier. The FL is actually pretty damn competent and clever (well the version of her that went back in time). Sadly the actress was a bit limited though. But over all it was a cute & fluffy romance. Even the 2FL was quite likeable.
Have you watched it? Because I recommend to watch it because yeah you will miss everything. I loved that part.
The kids are ALL annoying & spoilt little shits who break into tears constantly. The three oldest sibling characters that are teens are ok, but the ML as a teen is creepy and always wearing a smug grin.
One of the best Makjang shows around ! Had actually dropped it around Ep 20 as had time issues but came back to…
I am currently up to episode 4 and find the ML rather creepy and unlikeable as a teen (though the teen actor constantly wearing a smug smirk all the time does not help). So you are saying he improves a lot when he transitions to an adult?
These kids are bloody annoying. They are all annoying little spoiled shits that cry at the drop of a hat. The only ones that are normal is the FL, though that is possibly because she is played by a good actress, even then the ML as a teen is annoying. Even as adults the twins are distasteful spoilt shits.
And this really needs to have the pseudo-incest tag since there is a lot of incestuous relationships going on here even if they are not technically biologically related.
Is this multi couples or only based on one couple? And if there’s other couples can you tell me which characters…
I have not watched it yet (I am about to), but multiple couples are almost always a thing with Family Dramas with so many episodes. They need those extra couples to stretch the episode count.
Hwang Jung Eum was fantastic in this. In fact I feel she was the reason I love this drama so much. But it has…
I just watched "Time". Another drama by the same screenwriter and again the villains (it is two this time) confess their sins in the last episode as the only way they pay for their crimes.
I love her work but she has an immense flaw. Her villains only lose because they confess. The protagonist's struggles seem to be about them constantly losing to the villains, thus making the villains feel guilty enough to confess. Even when a protagonist is a Chaebol & the villain is an employee (not a shareholder, not a board-member, a new employee), the protagonist constantly loses.
Is it about a "true friendship"? or is it about a "spider friendship"? (a spider friendship is when one person…
ok, fair enough. I do like the friends to lovers trope, I just do not like it when one of those friends has been waiting for years for it to be something else.
The first episode is a bloody confusing inconsistent mess. The FL is a shut in, yet has no issues going outside or talking to people. She even stops to tell a complete stranger her life story. Like seriously, her telling the stranger/conartist her life story was an awful character moment for the fl. I get they wanted a plot device to explore the FL's backstory but a), it was not needed as her backstory is not interesting enough to be relevant; and b) it showed the fl as weak, inconsistent & easily distracted in the first 30 minutes of the drama. How can she be a shut in when she goes outside & talks to strangers at the drop of a hat.
I will give it a couple more episodes because PSH, but the first episode leaves a terrible impression.
ok, started this, but just found out this has noble idiocy play out in a big way, so dropping it.
boy meets girl, boy & girl hook up, boy gets deadly illness, boy breaks up with girl cruelly & hurts her because boy does not want girl to get hurt. lol
A lovely story about a true friendship turning slowly into a unforgettable love. Finally all the episodes are…
Is it about a "true friendship"? or is it about a "spider friendship"? (a spider friendship is when one person has never seen it as a friendship, just a way to be close to their crush. Friendship is not their goal, a relationship is. So their "friendship" is more about spinning threads to wrap their victim up in an effort to bind them close).
Though her reaction was stupid.
