It is an unsatisfying ending, but it is also a happy one.
The leads getting together in the last 2-5 minutes is always an unsatisfactory ending, even if technically "happy". But that does not even take into account how they got together here which was also unsatisfactory.
The 2ML is all kinds of creepy & inappropriate. The ML was right to be constantly calling him out for it (even…
no worries. The touching thing is particularly egregious since the 2ml does not really do it to anyone else (and the ML keeps pulling him up on it). And since it is revealed he has been crushing on her since she was his intern it just feels icky for him to be constantly touching someone he has a crush on.
And the 2ML buying her family house that the FL has lived in for at least 12 years is disturbing and throwing up all kinds of warning signs. The male lead followed her home once when they were kids - a second case of the ML doing something potentially creepy, but since he did nothing more it feels very mild compared to the 2ML deliberately buying her family home and moving next door.

The contract is definitely icky, but he never really used it in an icky manner, except for that once when he called her to the hotel (and even then they were together at that stage, and you got the sense she could have refused to go - unlike with the 2ML who constantly made her spend time with him via his power as her boss, which she could not refuse). And when the FL arrived at the hotel, the ML tore up the letter in front of her.
But sorry for the rant, I just really did not like the 2ML in this, he was constantly using his position as her boss in ways that bothered me.

I am not sure why you find the ML creepy or why you do not find the 2ML creepy. The 2ML is constantly touching her, buys her house without her knowledge so he can move in next door, constantly finding excuses to enter her house, constantly has to be aware of where she is at all times, constantly using the fact he is her boss to make her spend time with him, has had a crush on her since she was his intern which colours all his interactions with her, is possessive of her in a way the ML was not.
Even for Korea which likes domineering and stalkerish MLs, the 2ML stands out as creepy. In fact he is creepy even by Chinese drama standards. The 2ML would not be out of place as a character in a Thai Lakorn.
This is cute for the most part but episode 7 is a wall. It is dumb & dull. The FL barely makes an appearance in it. If I get around to rewatching this drama, I think I will skip ep 7 entirely.
Correct me if I'm wrong, at episode 3 here, but so far it's kinda ridiculous how Masaki pursue Haruko out of destiny.…
I constantly think "no wonder he has trouble with women". He is not only insincere, he approaches her in the worse possible manner. I think if their kid is destined to save the world, the kid will be getting his brains from the mother, because the male lead has the smarts of a plank of wood.
The issue I am having is that in the Chinese version, the FL was one of the top players on the server, but in…
I think she is low ranked because a) she needed to be saved multiple times by the ML in game when they got married. and b) her ex-virtual husband is now ranked higher than her in game (when in the Chinese version he was afraid to duel her).
Yeah. The two ghost hunters on their own are dorky and funny but they looked like their extended scenes are fillers.…
I think there is a fun "over the topness" in the Korean version BUT it is not the exaggerated American-style "over the top". The Thai version is American-style "over the top" (almost parody-like), The Korean version is definitely helped by the quality of it's actors though, whilst the two Thai leads are not helped by the tone the Thai version has embraced.
I think the villain in the Thai version "looks" scarier (and his back scars look way better than the comic-booky tattoo-like scar the villain had in the Korean version). I agree the villain in the Korean version has a baby-face but I think that is why he was so effective. He did not look like a villain, whilst the Thai version looks like a villain.
I will continue to watch this, as I like the story but I will always prefer the Korean version.
Ofc original is original but one should not compare Korea and Thailand. Ofc their styles of dramas are different.…
Again that is NOT a "style" of Thai actors. That IS a style of Idol actors (be they Thai, Chinese or Korean). Thailand has plenty of good to great actors. You defending the poor acting in this as "the Thai style" is ... sigh

You seem to be under the impression that Thai Drama's ALL have poor acting, american-style over the top humour, & bad choreography. That is patently not true. But Idol-stans are gonna stan their idols I guess, so you do you.

Your reply seems to suggest you have misread my comment. I have never suggested people can not enjoy what they enjoy. I have also never compared Korea & Thailand. I have simply compared the Korean version of this drama with the Thai version of this drama. I also prefaced my comment with "If you are a fan of the original".
My J-drama viewing experience tells me that dramas that are 20-30 mins long are usually low budget.I have only…
But in this version the FL is weak inside the game AND outside the game. In the original she was shown very competent in both realities. Now in the Japanese version, not only did she need to be saved multiple times in game, but now even her ex-virtual husbando is better than her in the game. This just feels like a more sexist version.

Not quite faithful.
a) The humour seems to be way more over the top than in the Korean version (it was already over the top in the korean version, but here it is even more so)
and b) They are very blatant in who the villain is and that he can see ghosts from the first episode.
The Korean version was not subtle in it's humour, plotlines or reveals but the Thai version makes the korean original seem like it was very much so when comparing the two shows.
For those watching because they are fans of the original, don't get your hopes up. Neither of the leads are very good actors (the FL is slightly better, but that is not saying much). You very much see the actors "acting" rather than their characters, and this goes for the support cast also. On top of the acting, the humour feels a lot more forced. It is ok, if you have time to kill, but the Korean version is better in every way.

Fair Enough. I did not mean to take away from your enjoyment, just that Thai Lakorns often frustrate me with their "everyone is forgiven " at the end no matter how badly they behaved. Even my faves have that sort of mentality.
Bath, willing (drunk) then pregnancy in 13! I was wondering why ML has such fast swimmers then the reveal lmfao.…
Why do you have "heartache" for the male lead? He manipulates, torments & kidnaps the female lead. He forces her to marry him AGAINST her will. The male lead is trash at the start, in the middle & at the end. He did not change who he was. It is just all the monsters in the female lead's life (the male lead, her mother & father, her sister, her ex BF, her ex BF's wife, the male lead's stalker); all eventually wore down the female lead psychologically with their torment that she became brainwashed into accepting her fate.
This drama made me so frustrated and sad throughout the whole thing. I am surprised it's so well liked. The bare…
I actually liked it, even if I feel it was dragged out a bit too long. Hopefully this time they; a) have the prince transition into being nice to her long before the last episode; c) not have the princess be as dumb; and c) stop having the 2ml appearing everywhere as though he has more access to the palace than the crown prince (the fact he was always hanging around the princess's bedroom kept taking me out of the story).
Saying that, the Korean version is a lot better than the Thai version. Imagine the Princess being a teenager, but acts and sounds like a 10 year old girl, whilst played by an actress who looks 30. And the Prince is meaner. And the Crown Prince & Princess take a plane to and from school each day because the school is in another country from the palace lol.
Ending aside though, it was a great drama.
