I like this so far. Hirugao was a great drama so this one has big shoes to fill. I do prefer the Japanese FL more simply because she wasn't constantly about to pass out. I blame that on the writer(s) rather than the actress.
Amnesia, old lovers, love triangle, arranged marriages, etc. seems like the makings of another decent Chinese…
To use a Korean term for Chinese dramas, historical Chinese dramas tend to be very makjang, i.e. over-the-top. I still usually enjoy watching them, even if I skim through some episodes.
At least the female lead seems like she is pretty strong and independent.
Question: when they made eternal love I don't think they planned on making a sequel--or rather they couldn't say…
I think they'll probably ignore Eternal Love since, like you said, I don't think they planned on creating a sequel. It would also be very hard to make the book and Eternal Love flow together cohesively without massive changes to the plot of the book. The synopsis sounds like the drama will follow the book's plot without any major changes. I really liked the book so I'd be fine with that. I didn't like how Eternal Love ended so I'm happy that Dong Hua and Feng Jiu are finally getting a proper love story.
I was looking forward to this drama because I love the saga but as you said, Nikaido Fumi is not doing a good…
I think it may be the way the character is written because normally I like Nikaido Fumi. For example, Reiko collapsed after Gantetsu said a few mean words. That is completely out of character for a supposedly strong female character. Sigh.
I agree it’s progressing beautifully. I am glad they’re not just slamming them together. They’re actually…
Yes, I am not a fan of love at first sight. I think it is usually "lust" at first sight. I like that they already have a pretty good understanding of each other's personalities before they started falling for each other. Their personalities are complementary and they have great chemistry. It is so much fun to watch their interactions.
After two episodes it looks good but I couldn't take seriously scene in episode 2 when he was operating on open…
Omg! I couldn't stand that part! I'm so glad someone else is commenting about it. I realize medical dramas are not realistic but come on. They need to at least follow the basics. I understand the "patients" not having a mask on but the first person, a doctor, should have never went in without a mask. He knew better. Let's not mention the fact that he is performing neurosurgery and he is a trauma surgeon.
Nyaa.si has the whole series subbed. You have to download torrents though. Search for Monte Cristo Haku.
No, the videos are hardsubbed so even if you downloaded the raws from J-raws.me, you wouldn't be able to watch with subtitles. I don't know of anywhere they are available to download. If you download a program like uTorrent which is free, it is pretty easy to get the torrents.
