The plot reminds me of The Devil/Lucifer. Hope it is as good as The Devil was. I love revenge stories.

Well, he did previously suggest that she should marry him. I think he was referencing her trouble with the second male lead when he brought up her "problem". However, when he recommended leaving an escape path, I think he was referring to his marriage proposal. He even tells her to think about it some more. Hence her flustered appearance.

The comic book is just based on the Eternal Love/10 Miles of Peach Blossoms storyline. It doesn't cover the Pillow Book storyline from what I understand. You can find it online on Mangakakalot.

True. Also it takes forever for subs to come out. I've given up on watching currently airing Jdramas because of that. I appreciate the hard work of subbers because a lot of times they have to work alone. It is just hard to remain interested in a drama when it takes weeks to get a new episode. By then I've usually moved on to another drama. I've been spoiled by the instant gratification involved in watching K-dramas and C-dramas. J-dramas are still my favorite though. They are what I started watching first and they will always be special to me.

I'm a sucker whenever Arata is involved. He always plays such complex characters. Even when he is the villain I root for him. Lol. Ishihara Satomi is also very fun to watch. She is one of the few actresses that can pull off a bubbly character without seeming stupid.

Lol. I think they are all busy voting. Seems like Chuugakusei Nikki is in the lead for pretty much every category. ;P

I think I've seen the same family clashes played out in historical dramas a thousand times so I find it boring due to that. The villains in this drama seem to be carbon copies of previous villains in historical dramas. Also, I wish there were more scenes between the ML and FL.

I don't think they include ongoing ones in this year's poll. I think it would be in the 2019 poll instead. I could be wrong though.

I like it too thus far but I wish there was some interaction b/t FSF and ZLY. I skimmed through the unsubbed episodes to ep 9 and they don't even talk to each other but once as adults. I realize this is going to be over 70 episodes but still!

They are married IRL so I don't think chemistry will be an issue. He's only 9 years older than her IRL too.

Episode 5 on Viki is when it switches to the adult characters. It has both Zhao Li Ying and Feng Shao Feng.
