This is an iQiyi Sweet On drama so the budget is smaller. It's at most an S tier drama but not S+ tier, so I think they tried their best to make it look good despite the limited budget.

This!!! Female rivalry is such an ooooverused and outdated trope, plus nobody really enjoys it at all. Just reduces women into petty people whose lives only revolve around men and would bring down their own gender. I LOVE how this drama does not have that and has female characters who are strong in their own way.

The story in the novel is much much simpler and DFQC's characterization is more evil and ruthless, while XLH is more naive. It's not as good as the drama. But if you're curious, you can still read it. When I read it, I enjoyed it, but now that I've watched the drama, I can see a huge difference in the quality.
