Cang Lan Jue's literal meaning in English is just taking one word from each of the lead's names and combining them tgt, then adding the word "parting/separation" at the end. It essentially means "Parting of DFQC and XLH"

Maybe I'm the minority, but I LOVED how they resolved RH and CDNZ's line. It was BEAUTIFUL and tragic. Even CDNZ, the more righteous immortal, turned out to be the first person who grew a mortal desire to save someone by changing fate. When RH understood that everything that had happened was all for him, he knew he had to right his wrong and kill his master, whom he's spent thousands of years trying to save, so she can be freed. The two were well written characters with much consistency even till the end.

I share your sentiments. The only drama I liked her in was Ashes of Love, and it was because she was SFL. I don't think she has enough skill or presence to be a FL as of now, and all the dramas she was in happened to also have bad writing and so-so reception.

I think it's a happy ending because at the beginning, it was explicitly said that DFQC is a true immortal, meaning he never dies. Whenever he "dies", his primordial spirit just gets scattered all over the place.

I already watched that one. I REALLY enjoyed it, I even wrote one of the reviews for that drama, but it was more like guilty pleasure because some parts of the plot didn't make any sense and the ending left a lot of things unexplained. I would definitely still recommend it, it breaks a lot of tropes and the character settings are amazing, but I thought it was in essence pretty different from LBFAD (there are small similarities like the ones you mentioned).
