So I have a question, what time period this drama is set?
Hey arukilee!!! Nice to see you here π I haven't started watching this, but I know it's a modern drama. I think the characters just wear kimono very often because it's the uniform of their sweets shop.
How to know if you have the "LBFAD syndrome": 1. You have a hard time finishing other dramas you started before or at the same time as LBFAD. 2. You keep coming back to the comments section to discuss the drama long after it has ended. 3. You feel empty that you can no longer look forward to weekends. 4. You keep rewatching certain scenes and still enjoying them the 20th time around. 5. You start being active on MDL, even though in the past few years you were practically invisible on this site. 6. You replay the OSTs on repeat, at work, after work, and whenever you have a chance to. 7. You come up with your own ending and epilogue for your favorite characters. 8. You start finding certain things that are supposed to be immoral to be super hot. It makes you question your values. 9. You wish you could erase your memory of this drama and experience it all over again. 10. You feel like this gem of a drama should have been longer than 36 episodes.
I feel like a lot of people who dropped this and gave it a low score only watched the first couple of episodes and made some wrong assumptions about this drama, thinking it was just going to be a cheesy, typical overbearing CEO X naive and stupid FL story. It does start with that kind of setting, but it becomes SO much more than that. It defies conventions, introduces higher level ideologies, and is written by screenwriters with high intelligence and logic. It's not just your stereotypical drama. People really have to give this a chance and watch more episodes. It WON'T be a waste of time.
Currently so obsessed with the ost, it's on repeat since yesterday. Which dramas do you guys think have some of…
I tend to love individual OSTs from different c-dramas, it's rare for me to love every song like I do for LBFAD. I think best OST award goes to Ancient Love Poetry though. That drama has so many songs and all of them slap!
They said the wedding can unlock both party's full powers, not just CH's. The subtitles were wrong. Since they…
I agree with you! That is very likely the case. They thought the powers would be unlocked through a marriage, but the true determining factor has been love the entire time.

I don't think they did a very good job explaining the mechanism of the wedding and how it affects their powers, so we can only speculate. I'm thinking maybe regardless of who marries goddess Xiyun, he will receive the upgrade along with her, so it doesn't have to be someone from the immortal realm. The reason why they have this wedding is simply because Dong emperor (first emperor of heavenly realm?) formed an agreement with the Xilan clan to ensure the power of rule of the heavenly realm. If she married someone else, then the powers would go to that someone. Dong Fang and Dong are different Chinese surnames, so I dont think they are connected.

I don't think they have a full official ost host but I might be wrong.
