ML chasing after FL trying to win back her favor is a popular plot trope in China, they call it "追妻火葬场" (literal: pursuing the wife to the crematorium). It's also one of my favorite tropes, cuz we get to see a normally powerful and arrogant ML feel absolutely powerless and confused about love.

She behaves a lot colder than she should to a stranger. Like... who would suddenly push away someone who is walking towards you, if you don't know them in the first place? Either it's all an act, or it's plot armor to make the memory loss thing unnecessarily painful for DFQC. I feel like it's the latter... lol

There's a high chance that emperor has been working with Tai Sui and Rong Hao. He knew about his bad deeds but decided to turn a blind eye. It must be benefitting him somehow, else he wouldn't do that.

I keep having a feeling that the phrase "even if there are thousands of orchids, I will still be able to find you" is going to have plot significance. They keep repeating that sentence, and the writers never throw these in for no reason. That could be the key to how DFCQ is going to find XLH within Xiyun.

Oh man, he couldn't break out of his character. That was so sad...

I can understand why they are mean to the characters, and that people have different ways of thinking, but if I had to choose, I would stand by the side that gets the most unnecessary hurt. If the world wasn't that harsh to certain people, they would've been healthier and less prone to turning bad. But apparently society likes to be a jerk, then blame you for every wrong you do afterwards. I mean, having a traumatic background doesn't justify someone's wrongdoings, but still, really sad they had to go through those things.

P.S. XLH is probably an INFP too, so when she gets attacked, I feel more emotionally invested than usual, cuz apparently people don't appreciate certain strengths and wrongly perceive them as weaknesses. People tend to appreciate physical strength over mental strength, competence and badassery over emotional intelligence and gentleness.

I think the reason why she's acting cold towards DFQC is because she doesn't want to lead him on or give him false hopes. She's not XLH anymore so she can't reciprocate those feelings.
