Wait... that shouldn't happen because they haven't changed the past yet at that time. The timeline only updates…
I believe it's a plot hole. There was one scene in an earlier episode where 2022ML was stalking 2021FL on social media. He saw a selfie she took in his office building with him in the background. At the same time in 2021, 2021FL steps on 2021ML's foot, apologizes and recognizes his face. 2022ML updates his memories at that very moment, and the selfie changes in the angle it was shot (originally FL took the photo standing on the right side of the camera, but it changed to be on the left side). That means 2022ML's memories update at the same time as each ripple effect, and whatever 2021FL does in the past, it only causes a ripple effect the moment she does it, but not before. That's why the photo of her eating steak should not have the wedding gown in there. They haven't caused that ripple effect yet at that point in time.
I think the ratings are dropping because people didn't like the ending? But imo it was the best case scenario…
Since 2021FL and 2022ML had to change the past to save people, the original timeline of 2022ML was bound to disappear. Without 2021FL being hit in a car accident, the time-space merge wouldn't have happened and 2021FL and 2022ML wouldn't have met each other. By changing the past, they create a new timeline where there is only one ML, one who doesn't have to go through all the bad things happening in the coming 4 months time. Worst case scenario is that 2022ML just gets overwritten as if he never existed, best case scenario is 2021ML becomes 2022ML as the two timelines become one. We got the best case scenario.
I think the ratings are dropping because people didn't like the ending? But imo it was the best case scenario ending and there's no way it could've been better. It's not the fault of the writing, so the drama doesn't deserve receiving a low score because of this. (Explanation in spoilers)
I binged this in two days and OMG it was SO GOOD!!!! It is very underrated here on MDL. Haven't enjoyed a drama this much in a few years. I'm also surprised that this actually passed censorship without finding excuses for the time travel plot. Usually these dramas end with someone waking up from a coma, dream, storybook, etc. but this one maintained its authenticity from beginning to end. Rare find nowadays.
Did anyone notice that in the earlier episode when 2022HZY tried to get closer to CJL because she linked with…
Wait... that shouldn't happen because they haven't changed the past yet at that time. The timeline only updates once they've caused a ripple effect, so in the early episodes that should be the old timeline where FL and 2021HZY do not know each other.
I watched this drama a long time ago and it became one of my favorites. It had an 8.7 rating back then so I'm surprised it has dropped to 8.5 now. It's a really great drama, the only flaw was that the FL went and did something that made no sense in the last two episodes. It was out of character. Other than that, the show was highly enjoyable and there were valuable lessons. Also showed some issues that women had in the workplace and under social standards.
I saw many comments saying this is a boring drama and is really slow, so I was hesitant to start this. I'm SO glad I did. It was not boring at all. Although I understand why it is considered a slow burn, I found each episode zipping by, and was always eager to watch more to understand the characters. I think the characters being relatable, realistic people helped make it work.
The structure of the story is like peeling an onion, each new episode unravels a new layer about the characters, until you start to empathize with each of them. It is a character-driven drama. You learn new lessons about life, about people. You might start with hating a certain character, and end feeling sorry for them after knowing their backstory.
I don't think this drama is overrated, as long as you go in knowing what it is. If you're looking for something exciting, fast-paced, keeps you at the edge of your seat, or some sort of bubbly, happy, feel-good romcom, this is not it. But if you like reading a book on a breezy afternoon weekend while taking a sip of hot chocolate, this is what the drama feels like.
This channel is known for cutting together clips of old dramas to pretend they are a new drama. Those are all…
Because if the clips are chopped up enough, they will not be caught by the copyright detector, and the uploader will be able to earn money from the large amount of viewers. I know, it sucks :/
am i wrong? i couldn't find Mo Xiao/Bai Yan anywhere in the summary . so what exactly is his role in the drama?
I was confused about the same thing. Summary kept referring to Shen Shao You as if he is the ML but in the cast list it says Mo Xiao/Bai Yan. Maybe they are the same person and the names are just wrong?
I'm frustrated that they undid everything that happened in S1. It's like watching a reboot of the original, which has no point. I hope they regain their memories.
There is a republican era part? I had theorized that Chi Yu had been sent to the past when the past actor had…
We don't know yet, since there has not been any mention of Chi Yu after he fell into the water so far. If they're going for the coma route, I think he'll wake up with Qin Yu's memories. But I doubt he's going to have his own arc.

But it was Qin Yu who arrived in the past like a ghost, not Chi Yu right? He got electrified and fainted for a moment, then he went back into the past and witnessed the scene of the crime. FL called out his name and he woke up again in the future.
