Viewers are complaining; they want to see more of the ML. Started the middle episodes: FL and ML are finally together and having teamwork moments to solve some issues. Viewers like you are still complaining. FL is a damsel in distress.

If you pay attention to the story, you'll see they are actually fighting hand in hand. At one moment, the ML is the weak one, so the FL does more. In another moment, the FL is in a weak position, so ML helps her. If you still don't like this balanced dynamic, enjoy other drama with Mary Sue FL, and the ML is just there for his handsomeness.

And regarding the power nerf, in my view, Rebirth moderates the power rather than nerfing it, making it more realistic. Princess Agents (2017) leans more on the wuxia genre, so we got things like inner power, power transfer, people defying gravity, etc. This choice is an adaptation of the IP novel, a transmigration story. In the novel, FL got her power because she is a person from the modern era. In PA, FL got her power from his mother through transfer.
