Just finished ep 5 & it's so goooooooddddddddd...Li Yun Rui is perfect as Zhuge Yue. Liking how new characters are introduced too. The director's style is suiting the story or I should say the story is unfolding well. Going thru comments here about later episodes andit looks like it'll get even better💖
The way Zhuge Yue's grandfather tried to manipulate and put all the blame to his grandson for the deeds in the past, just to make him agree to return to Qing Shan Manor is sickening. However, I wish Zhuge Yue will tell Xing Er everything soon to prevent unnecessary arguments in the future.
omg I'm on ep 2 and so far it's good!!!So exciting & I'm hooked!!! Beautiful scenery too. Haven't watched Princess Agents but I definitely will after this.
I really appreciate that the Director decided to film most of the series on location so that we get the feel of the barren climate and what's needed to survive there. All acting is on point. Yes, the FL has been accused of Meng Zi Yi's style of acting, acting with her eyes but with a slack face; however, I think perhaps the direction given to her was to look stern throughout as her crying scenes are on point. She will become a more seasoned actor with time. Great story with lots of action and on-location filming make up for any small flaws in the series for me.
the rating is low because of expectations & biases toward the original production of the first part of this story. if you are going in unbiased your personal rating may differ. watch a few epiosdes & see if you like the style & performances. this director's style is also just not for everyone. he has a habit of having the characters make eye contact with the camera, which is a choice...not gonna be everyones cuppa.
