He and his Twin are actually good. I liked them in He's coming to me and they were in another drama...it escapes me...but I can see this kid getting better.
YUP!And he should have had the convo he had with Non today 6 episodes ago!
The episode where he rejected him through writing (when they were doing that Engineer camp thing) was the perfect time for him to tell him face to face that he wasn't interested and that he was in a committed relationship. I thought that was a wasted episode. After that, if Non had continued his pursue then things would have been clearer for Kao and Pete and both could have dealt with Non. The reality is that this relationship was doomed the minute Kao lied and continued to lie when he had opportunity to clear things up. If he wanted Pete to trust him, he should have been honest. I know Pete was being unreasonable and jealous, but Kao (the old Kao from Kiss Me again) would have found a way to make him understand. Sandee was able to do so with one conversation, which also bothered me because their friends had a conversation with Pete, yet Sandee didn't bother going to Kao directly and ask him why he hadn't responded to Pete's texts? They were already nosy so that extra nosiness should have been used to get Kao to see that Pete did try to reach him. UGG just thinking about this drama makes me upset at times! They ruined PeteKao (even with their flaws from the previous series) but there was something so THEM and here is just missing.
@anchorenomore I agree with u on that. Unfortunately i also understand the reason why Kao choosed to that path.…
And I totally get that, but here we are where her job was compromised anyway at the expense of his own relationship to boot. But they say hindsight is 20/20 and I'm sure things would have been different if Kao had realized how much he would be putting at stake. I feel as though if he had told the director when he first offered him the job, that he was not able to tutor anyone particular at the time, he would have been okay with that. Kao had ample time to tell him that it wasn't working out and didn't even need to say anything other than he needed time to focus on his own studies. I find that there were different ways he could have gotten out of that without his mom's job being at risk.
After watching the episode Subbed....All I can say is that the only person to blame for this mess is Kao himself. He should have been honest with Pete from the start and not lied. Should have said to him, "Pete I understand you don't like Non I get it, but this is just a job and I was not born rich or have disposable money like you. If you trust me then you will support me" instead he decided to just lie. Pete's insecurity and jealousy would have been calmed down. And now after all that happened he still lets that kid mess around with him. Ugg I'll type more about it later as my phone is about to die.
If all they can complain is the music and food, then I'd say let them. At least they aren't complaining about…
My biggest issue to be honest is that some of these people think that they are giving constructive criticism, when in reality is a veiled attempted at shading the drama to prop up another drama. It's gotten quite toxic in these forums lately and just like with Kpop, I'm trying to avoid reading comments. I used to enjoy it, but I might just have to ignore it and focus on the drama. I love sharing my theories or reading other people's take on the drama even the critiques because it helps me formulate my own opinion of it, but once I can't enjoy something, that's it for me. I'll stick to watching it and posting my review of it in the end.
Okay, I'm going to rant and then talk about the show. People are really coming on here to complain about the music…
If all they can complain is the music and food, then I'd say let them. At least they aren't complaining about the acting or story...Eh, don't let it bother you.
I just love all of the support Pharm and Dean get from their friends and Del. It's amazing to see them ganging up to get these two together and doing it without making it forced or cringy. I also enjoyed the sweet moments, like the hand holding under the table. It's funny how we have two completely different actors in Ohm and Nine who are supposed to be playing almost the same character and the way Ohm has Nine's resting bitchface down to a T is so good. He totally gives me the sense that he is KORN and it's so weird. I don't know what it is, but both of them look so different, yet the same. I'm living for the small moments though. My favorite is the one where Dean pulls Pharm towards him it was so "sexy" in a really natural way.
HCTM is actually on my top 5 list of best BLs in 2019. The ending was good, I would have loved a better one for sure, but it didn't take away from how great the drama was. I still re-watch it.
I understand that people want to get a happy ending, but from a few episodes back I kept wondering why they named the drama Make Our days count...and from some spoilers with Hao Ting and his "future" look, I was already getting the impression that he and Xi Gu might not make it. For me, that's not tragic because I am looking at it from an "experienced" kind of eye. There are people who come into our lives to make us better and sometimes their presence is brief but long lasting, other times they stick around with us for a long time.
Xi Gu was someone who made Hao Ting a better man than what he was. He made him become serious about his future, made him take life a bit more seriously. Maybe Xi Gu's role was to be that person who would change someone's life for the better. Yeah I get it, it would be sad if he isn't there to be with Hao Ting, but I also think it would be beautiful and realistic if MODC went in that direction.
The only saving grace for some of you who want a happy ending with the two couples, is that HIStory has not taken that step where they kill off a main pairing....
HOWEVER...this drama COULD BE the first time they do take that step. [sorry]
I still believe that this is one of the best BLs out this year and it's definitely top 3 on my HIStory list. And if they do end up going in the direction of giving him some type of illness that makes him forget Hao Ting, I will still rate it high because it's also great to see a realistic aspect of life.
Pete's Father saves the whole show... and he's only in like 2 episodes. Ha ha but on a serious note like Pincolino…
I know. Long gone is the cute boy from Sotus or the confident gay from Kiss me again. If New is planning on being a serious actor (I am not sure what he wants do to with his life) but if acting is what he sees for the rest of his life, then he needs to seriously work on his acting. It has gotten worse not better, that include Wolf and that other crappy show he did with Krist (another actor who just gets worse with time and not better) This is not just about the BL dramas, it is his overall acting that has gone down in recent years. I wish him the best and hope he gets better.
Based on the preview for next week's episode, I'm wondering if Non will put the blame on Kao when his dad walks…
I have the same feeling and I hope it doesn't go where I think...which is the dad firing his mom and then that is how Kao's mom gets word of Kao's sexual orientation. I know some people, myself included, have guessed that Kao's mom knows about him and Pete, but what if she truly didn't? What if she only thinks that Kao might like Pete but that's it? What if she finds out that not only does he like Pete but they've been together 3 years? It would make this more interesting to see how this plays out. Although, if Non does that, he would forever be a dick in my book.
