I just love all of the support Pharm and Dean get from their friends and Del. It's amazing to see them ganging up to get these two together and doing it without making it forced or cringy. I also enjoyed the sweet moments, like the hand holding under the table. It's funny how we have two completely different actors in Ohm and Nine who are supposed to be playing almost the same character and the way Ohm has Nine's resting bitchface down to a T is so good. He totally gives me the sense that he is KORN and it's so weird. I don't know what it is, but both of them look so different, yet the same. I'm living for the small moments though. My favorite is the one where Dean pulls Pharm towards him it was so "sexy" in a really natural way.
HCTM is actually on my top 5 list of best BLs in 2019. The ending was good, I would have loved a better one for sure, but it didn't take away from how great the drama was. I still re-watch it.
I understand that people want to get a happy ending, but from a few episodes back I kept wondering why they named the drama Make Our days count...and from some spoilers with Hao Ting and his "future" look, I was already getting the impression that he and Xi Gu might not make it. For me, that's not tragic because I am looking at it from an "experienced" kind of eye. There are people who come into our lives to make us better and sometimes their presence is brief but long lasting, other times they stick around with us for a long time.
Xi Gu was someone who made Hao Ting a better man than what he was. He made him become serious about his future, made him take life a bit more seriously. Maybe Xi Gu's role was to be that person who would change someone's life for the better. Yeah I get it, it would be sad if he isn't there to be with Hao Ting, but I also think it would be beautiful and realistic if MODC went in that direction.
The only saving grace for some of you who want a happy ending with the two couples, is that HIStory has not taken that step where they kill off a main pairing....
HOWEVER...this drama COULD BE the first time they do take that step. [sorry]
I still believe that this is one of the best BLs out this year and it's definitely top 3 on my HIStory list. And if they do end up going in the direction of giving him some type of illness that makes him forget Hao Ting, I will still rate it high because it's also great to see a realistic aspect of life.
Pete's Father saves the whole show... and he's only in like 2 episodes. Ha ha but on a serious note like Pincolino…
I know. Long gone is the cute boy from Sotus or the confident gay from Kiss me again. If New is planning on being a serious actor (I am not sure what he wants do to with his life) but if acting is what he sees for the rest of his life, then he needs to seriously work on his acting. It has gotten worse not better, that include Wolf and that other crappy show he did with Krist (another actor who just gets worse with time and not better) This is not just about the BL dramas, it is his overall acting that has gone down in recent years. I wish him the best and hope he gets better.
Based on the preview for next week's episode, I'm wondering if Non will put the blame on Kao when his dad walks…
I have the same feeling and I hope it doesn't go where I think...which is the dad firing his mom and then that is how Kao's mom gets word of Kao's sexual orientation. I know some people, myself included, have guessed that Kao's mom knows about him and Pete, but what if she truly didn't? What if she only thinks that Kao might like Pete but that's it? What if she finds out that not only does he like Pete but they've been together 3 years? It would make this more interesting to see how this plays out. Although, if Non does that, he would forever be a dick in my book.

I do hope that it gets better before it ends. I actually find Pete to be the better character in this series. He has actually shown so much range compared to the others. You can tell that Tay keeps improving in his acting while the others not so much. I wish that the script had been handled better. They should have focused on Kao's coming out to his mother, her acceptance or apprehensions and Pete's academic/career future and Sun/Morks relationship (minus the third wheels for each couple).
When I watched the trailer I thought Kao would mess the relationship up. Well, in fact he is, but still they make…
Yeah, but got to admit that Pete is the character with the most range and development in this series. He is the only one imo saving the show. I just wish the script had done more justice to the characters.
The fact that Non has been allowed to cause as much damage as he has, is surprising to me. I mean, no one...NO ONE takes Pete's side?? Like his friends just let this High Schooler waltz in to their gang and just cause issues? I'm hella mad for Pete...yeah he can be a stubborn mule and doesn't really act mature at times with his jealousy, but I can't say I don't understand him. The big issue for me is that a KID is given so much power, even by Pete himself. Pete could have easily made it clear to that kid to back off, instead he got into a fight of egos to see who can outdo the other, and in the end, Pete made himself look weak and Non took advantage of that. Don't even get me started on Kao. His character was assassinated by this script. This is not even the same Kao of Kiss and Kiss me again. Totally different character IMO. As for the second couple, I am not really interested in their story, but I do love Mork. Poor kid! He's so misunderstood and he is screaming for a family and love. I am having a hard time believing this is the same director for He is coming to me. That was such a great drama (minus a few issues here and there) but I'm really shocked cause DBK isn't as great as I was hoping it to be. It's not a bad drama, but there is so much unnecessary things happening and some of the editing is wonky. Music kind of sucks too. In his other drama, He is coming to me, the music was so well put and picked rightly, but DBK tends to have such soapish music ugg. I rather he had let the scenes be without any music. Anyways, I LOVE PETE's FATHER. Gosh, he's been such a cheerleader for his son and Kao..glad they have kept him the same way.
Well, I guess, there always must be that ONE person who ruins the party and in this case it's me. I'm not enjoying…
Now that I rewatched the episode I think I know why they had that scene. It shows that even sick Hao Ting is still so much stronger that Yu Xi and that scared Yu Xi to the core. It added to his apprehension and timidity. But it also showed us the viewer that eventhough he is so strong he is physically, Hao Ting is also strong willed and understanding and pushes enough. He doesn't go over board and only went as far as he did here because he was really out of it and thought it was a dream. It was a great way to show contrasting phisicalities as well as mental statuses of each boy.
Does anyone think about the importance of Gulf in Mew's life? He came when Mew was at his lowest, accepted him…
To be honest, I'm still confused about the accusation. In one video he said that Mew kissed him without consent, but then in another video it was being implied that Mew wanted to be his boyfriend and he had rejected him. Either way, Art outed Mew from the closet and that was wrong as well. After that Mew not only lost a lot of weight, but he looked like he was just so done with everything. I'm glad he is able to shine more and there is something so endearing about him. That's why I support him. But I also think that left him reeling and he is guarded more than ever.
Well, I guess, there always must be that ONE person who ruins the party and in this case it's me. I'm not enjoying…
They could have left out those racy scenes imo. I loved the more intimate ones with them eating cake and just generally looking like they really love and care for each other.
I never make rants here but,I dont understand why some people need to compare two bl series that are completely…
The fault lies in some TT fans that have been sort of going around every BL drama around comparing their "masterpiece" of a show to others. I don't understand them..this is becoming like kpop (kpoop) to me and it will become less enjoyable to even have discussions.
