I am loving it so far the intro is giving me Drama and I am here for it. The one thing I’m not ok with is the…
They didn't come out to everyone. Only two people knew at best. Pete's father and if you want to count Sun, since he was the witnessed to Pete's jealous act. In kiss the series, that's supposed to be after Dark Blue Kiss so technically that's not a pre-quel, it's a sequel to this one.
It depends, not everything is as simple as we imagine. I believe that gross mistakes can be forgiven when there…
"Gross mistakes can be forgiven"....Are you implying that forgiving rape and being in a relationship with someone who raped you is okay so long as there is love? I don't want to assume that this is what you mean, because my comment was pretty clear on what I think SHOULD not be done.
Dang that hit me... I am still debating whether to watch the second episode... But if I already feel like I have…
Just prepare yourself mentally and remember that it is fiction at the end of the day, not matter how real the act itself is in the real world. At least I have told myself that these boys are brave enough to depict this, then I should be brave enough to handle it.
People writing novels in the comments, tells you how conflicting this series is. I think as I said before, that although I am not fond of the rape trope in BLs, if done properly I can see value in telling that story. We have seen it done in Heterosexual dramas, so it is only right that we also show that it happens to anyone, no matter their sexual orientation, gender, age etc. I just don't want this to be used a the old trope of getting a "couple" together as that is not realistic nor a healthy message to send.
Oh God! This was so hard to watch. I'm sorry I just don't know...I was crying watching this. I understand why they did it, but it's so difficult to stomach such a scene. I work in the criminal justice field and I get to read stories of people being raped, but to see it depicted is different than reading it because all I do is see the face of the person and how much pain they are in. And this goes beyond just rape, it's also the fact that the pressure of society, the stigmatization of being gay, the idea of having to be "perfect"...how much that can make someone like Keng lose it. I don't excuse what he did, but putting yourself in the shoes of someone going through an obvious mental health breakdown, it's beyond sad for both of them. Literally had tears down my cheeks.
Whatttt???? Duh. They are among those few couples who have the most amazing chemistry in the BL world dude. Let…
I get what you mean. I am an asexual person and I don't always care for the kissing/make out/sex etc. I can tolerate it, but it's not necessary for me to enjoy a drama. I found Max and Tul to have great chemistry, I just didn't care for their "love scenes" as much as most people do. I thrive when characters actually show love through small gestures, there is some "deep connection" that goes beyond the physical and I think that's why I love hand holding or when someone caresses another person's cheek or neck...LOL...I don't know I just think that sometimes smaller gesture scream move love to me. (PERSONALLY)...
Good start. Looking forward to next episodes. Yu Xi Gu is just so skinny. I'm interested in what his background…
Apparently he lost his parents and his aunt takes care of him, but they don't have a lot of money so he tried to help as best he can, and thinks that not eating equals to not spending money.
The acting feels pretty natural or is it just me? I wasn’t looking forward to this at all, but now I’m excited.
I didn't see your comment until now, but you are so right. I made the same observation about how natural the acting with this cast is. As a viewer you kind of feel as though you are in that world they created, which is a sign of a good drama to me. I am looking forward to the rest and hope it continues the way is being acted.
Honestly, this was one of the most natural acting from any of the History Series imo. It felt very nuanced, not forced and the cast played their characters so well. I love every single History story, so I am happy to see that they continue to improve so much. Specially in picking the right actors. All of the ones in this anthology fit their roles so well, even the supporting cast. I was laughing so much and was also feeling protective over Yu Xi-Gu, he's like that kid who always minded his business, but would lend you a hand if needed. So precious!
Well Jennie and Gun were the best characters in this drama FOR ME...So was Mild, but I really loved Jennie and Gun.
The drama was good, could have tackled some plot-holes earlier on, but definitely not a bad drama and they wrapped it up with some twists I kind of saw coming, but I thought those event would have happened earlier on and not in the end.
I am not going to write a review yet, because I want to watch it again as I think there were some things I missed.
This drama looks to be intense. I hope that the subject matter of rape is treated well and not romanticized or glossed over like they tend to do in most Thai BLs. Though I find the subject problematic, there is value is being exposed to it and the ways we can learn to cope or the ways in which people can atone/be punished. Great acting by everyone. I'm used to seeing James as a comedic actors, but he's really good here. Also, is he half white? Not that it matters, but I had to do a double take at times, cause he looked so different. Only way I recognized him was because of his gorgeous eyes.
It got nothing to do with training kinda? My father never trained and has such veins and trust me, its nothing…
Mew lost weight. If anyone watched him in WTD, they will notice it more so after the whole drama with his co-star. I don't want to diagnosed anyone I don't know, but he might have been super depressed and stopped eating for some time. He wasn't as "veiny" in WTD first season, but by second season you could see it. He has been gaining some of it back, but not as before. I agree with you that his face and eyes seem a bit different too (again weight loss made him look more gaunt). I hope he is taking care of himself if he is going through something. TAY TAWAN is sexy as hell even though he is slim. (ugg I feel like a pedo-old lady, though he is over 25....I'm still nearly ten years older)
I don't think it's that he turned into a "ninja" or lost his fear. In this last episode you could see in the moments…
I know why he is doing it, I just have a hard time believing he is capable of taking down a mafia guy or two (or a group) It's not even that I don't like the way his character is,...from working in the criminal justice system in real life, I just don't see how they evolved him so fast into this. Honestly, the drama is good, but there are some plot holes and definitely needs more development for me to believe it. If anything, anyone attempting such a daring thing is beyond reckless because there are many factors that play a part in their revenge, such as nerves, will power to actually hurt someone etc.
