LOL no don't stress, I enjoy a healthy discussion so long as we all respect our points of view. My comment initially was to Liz's comment about her stating that 2moons had "realistic relationships" and I was like..."wait hold up...they do?" I understand that the source material may have had more information for us the viewers to get a sense of what's happening, but because the drama didn't include that, we can't use our imagination, but interpret what was presented to us. I think the problem lies in that a lot of BL novels have a very unhealthy idea of gay relationships and how they come about. I have rarely read any that have a healthy view of the progression of a gay relationship. It's not just Thai BLs...a lot of them continue to write stories about gay men and tend to use the drunk excuse for sex (which is rape). I always ask people, imagine if the character being taken advantage of was a woman? How would it make you feel?
Now, I am also conflicted when it comes to two people who are both equally drunk. I don't necessarily think it's rape, as neither can consent, but with this couple, they did not make it seem like Forth was drunk (he himself sort of said that the others that were passed out were weak)...had they both been equally drunk, I might not have been as critical. Still stupid, but not to the same degree. Believe it or not, I was actually a Forthbeam shipper from the first season even when THEY BARELY had any interactions together. I think it was because I keep seeing those "shipping" videos of Tae and Tee and I was like...oh they are adorable together. I don't have a problem with watching a drama that has "rape" scenes, so long as they address them properly or give it some real context. For instance, I hated the ending of LBC because of the Kengkla/Techno scene, but in the Beginning I was intrigued with the idea of the junior going after the senior. I guess everyone has a line they draw on what they deem okay or not, and mine is definitely the drunken sex trope used to create a relationship. It's just so wrong to me.

I totally understand where you are coming from, as I've read some of the translated material some people had before it was taken down, so I know it was worse. My point is that, I still find it cringy and unrealistic. But as I said, if some people like that, I'm not judging, but nothing about that relationship is realistic, which is why I made the comment. I don't know of any man that has drunken sex with someone who isn't able to consent and suddenly he is "love" and then proceeds to coerce that person to being their "wife" ...I just find that to be so far-fetched and toxic.
What if there is a twist in this drama that we are not thinking of yet? Like Shin and Neo having this big plan, for Shin to get rid of his father. First using Neo to seduce Shin's step-mother and cause her death (Shin wanting to teach his father a lesson...I think there is going to be a lot of drama around Shin, his mother and father's story) and also looking for a way to take over the "business" and then Shin and Neo will stay as a couple, because they've been secretly dating? It's obvious they know each other and Neo had a picture of them in his locker room right?? I would definitely give this drama a 10 if they did this twist.
I’m glad I decided to watch this drama. This was complex and different. I love how Baifern portrayed her character.…
I've been saying this for weeks! This is a good drama because it dealt with very important issues such as self-love, gender identity, etc. I am so happy with the story and the way they ended it.
YEEEESSSSSSS! I called IT!! I am so happy that she didn't end up with anyone. She was too damaged and needed to have self-love before she could give her heart to anyone. I'm so happy that they went in this direction.
If you find a place we can watch with English subs I’d be eternally grateful!!
first episode dropped. I heard rumors that lazy might sub it, but I doubt that since I follow her and she has not said anything of the like. I'll keep you posted.
I think he’ll recruit her, but I hope nothing happens to her then! I don’t want her to tragically die and…
I too want Jennie to have a good ending. It would be nice, but we know that this is a underworld/mafia series so many people will probably have to die -_-!

Here are my two theories 1) Shin hates his father for something he did to his mother. I'm thinking the father killed the mother and Shin wants to make his father pay. or
2) we are being fooled by Shin, and we think he is this nerd, but in reality he's a lot worse than his father and uses his "nerdiness" as a way to get what he wants. Maybe he already knew Neo from watching him somewhere, maybe dancing (he is supposedly gay or bi) so, he wanted Neo for himself.
I still want Nira to either end up alone, but happy mentally or with someone else and not the uncle. Sorry I don't think that relationship is healthy at all, given their history. Nira needs a lot of mental health services before she can fully live a life that's peaceful.
I wonder if Tur is going to recruit Mair to the underworld or if they are both just going to get their own personal revenge. Either way, from the trailer it seems that they grow closer together and even romantically, but Tur might have a hard time accepting his attraction because 1) Mair is transgender 2) Mair was inlove and in relationship with his best friend.
It's a drama. If you get political about it, of course you would never enjoy it; or anything else for that matter.…
Not to totally disagree with you, but you are talking about a genre where a lot of "fangirls" can't distinguished between reality and fiction. You have a culture of fangirls who ship actors in real life just because they acted as a pair in a drama. To the point, that they have caused real problems for these actors. There are plenty of grown a** people who mimic what they watch on tv because somewhere someone failed them as a child. So yes, there are times when fiction /drama do influence people. Also, because a lot of BL novels are written by straight women, they have an unhealthy idea of what gay romance is and that unhealthy view does spill into the real world when it is depicted on tv as "romantic" or "normal".
Nah it will be BL but no steamy scenes and maybe without kisses like that's dumb in my opinion becauses kisses…
I am an Asexual person, I don't always like excessive kissing or excessive PDA or even sex (which is why sometimes I don't mind if a BL drama doesn't give us that) It's not dumb to not like kissing or even like seeing it. I actually thrive when I see small gestures such as fingers touching under a table, a caress of the cheek (Ae and Pete had me going gaga for that), forehead to forehead touching. Sometimes, kissing is nice, other times it's not necessary to prove love. Some people have an aversion to touches, kissing, hugs...that's me (it's hard cause everyday I am seeing all of these gestures in real life, but I try not to let it get to me) Why not wait until the drama airs before we come to any conclusions? Perhaps they might surprise us?
According to the director of 2moons2 tweet it seems to me that the director of hotel stars was referring to 2moons2…

Also, the ForthBeam relationship is not realistic at all...but that's my opinion. No man sleeps with another while drunk (which is equal to rape) and suddenly falls in love with them and then coerces them into being their "wife"...but again if people like that, that's not my concern.
For a very important reason, I truly hope that we see a lot more of Too/Un’s dynamic in future BL’s, and i…
I agree. Personally, to me their relationship wasn't developed enough for me to get on their ship. Without having read the novel, someone like myself, would be scratching their heads, because it came out of left field. If they had dedicated a bit more screen time on their story, I would have been all for it. I also don't understand why we can't have more BL couples that are diverse. I don't understand the need for labels or roles, there are plenty of gay couples where they are equal in their roles and switch it up constantly, so it would be nice to get that more often than the submissive roles they keep shoving down our throats. But either way, I'm always happy to get more BL content in life since I'm sick of hetero dramas.
Well. we all made it through to the end!I'm posting a full review in the "reviews" section. It wasn't my favorite…
Funny thing is that when this was announced and the trailer shown, I thought for it was a movie. I kept thinking it was one, until I saw it said ep 1 and was like...what the heck! But you are right, a movie would have actually flushed out this drama a bit more.
Just because there isn't french kissing (or any kissing) doesn't mean it can't be BL. Relationships are more than just sex and kissing. If they can portray a couple in love wihtout having to shove it down our throats with excessive PDA, there is nothing wrong with that. Also, the director didn't explicitly say no BL, but not to expect full on making out. Even Lazysubber translated the interview and she wrote "Interview with the director of Hotel Stars, an UPCOMING BL SERIES with SBFIVE!!!!!!! It will be BL but don't expect french kiss and such. I think it will probably be on the same level as Honey Puppy and InnSun.. " So yes it's going to be BL. I don't really mind if there isn't any kissing so long as the story is good. There are BLs with the full on kissing that is cringy AF and majority of the actors look robotic or just don't seem to want to kiss their partner, so...whatever, I'll watch it anyways.
