Some people have this view of gay characters as "Taller, manlier=Seme and small/shy/cute=uke" not realizing that gay couples come in all shapes/sizes/roles. It's a visual fed to them by Yaoi mangas/BL shows/dramas. IT's really sad that some people equate certain roles in gay relationships based on looks/mannerisms.

I totally agree with your assertion regarding the serious acting. But I also think the cuteness helps break up the more serious stuff, which makes it more realistic and "human". We have to remember that these are individuals who are multifaceted and not one dimensional--they will go through the range of emotions (sweet, cute, anger, rage etc), which is why I think the cuteness/comedic factor makes us enjoy it more. Even Tang Yi has shown some "cuteness" factor Haha. To be able to pull of the cutness the way they have without making it seem cringy also says a lot about their acting, because you have to be a good actor to pull of such actions. I've seen actors trying to do cuteness or comedy and it falls flat.

Yes Tang Yi is really good at playing the stoic gang leader and I do love his scenes too...All of the boys are really good, but I just find that Zhao and Fei are the highlight of the show so far for me. I'm sure I will appreciate the others as well as the story progresses :)

Zhao Zi and Meng Shao Fei---these two are really really scene stealers. No matter the episode I watch, the two find a way for me to crack up hilariously. They are adorable.

I love that they are doing a transgender story (not a Gender Bender). I hope they don't go into outrageous unrealistic situations. I am also looking forward to Saint's acting in this.
