the afterlife is a weird concept since nobody really knows what happens after death so we can imagine anything is possible, like having children in death.
Even RY herself says to NYZ she doesn’t believe in the afterlife or reincarnation. so that’s why life is so important because it very well could be the last time they ever see each other.

but the reason why he was fighting in that war originally is because the king sent him there to die. obviously he didn’t die so he faked his death so that he wouldn’t be used again.
but he went back because the previous hall leader (his godfather) died, so being his godson and deputy he went back to mourn out of respect and planned to leave after he was done
however him escaping death was leaked to the prime minister who used the death of Chai Ming and the others to control NYZ

My only issue with the last few episodes was the cutting, because it’s unclear how much time takes place in the last few episodes. And some scenes came across very rushed like
King of An gets executed next thing you know LTG is trying to force RY to marry him.
How long did it take RY and NYZ to reach the Wu capital?
Right I'm just going to say it. I personally can’t stand sad/bad endings HOWEVER I completely understand why the writer went blood thirsty in the last 5 episodes.
At the end of the day the main cast were spies, assassins and fighters, they were all aware they would die at some point and had mentioned death multiple times.
In the end none of them were truly free of the court and in a sense all died because of those in power and I think that’s the true tragedy of the story.
QZ died for the king, the person he set out to kill. Never being able to exact his revenge for his little brother and Heaven path bros.
SL died a hero for his country but he died without being able to cherish what he loved most, fluffy animals.
YL died of his lack of medicine the thing which kept him alive and let him be happy with his friends, he even died doing something he didn’t want to. Confessing to the girl he liked despite his short lifespan.
YSS died saving the girl he fell for, falling in love being something he swore he would never do and originally didn’t want to join the mission because of danger
NYZ died saving the nation after wanting to only run away and live in seclusion not wanting to deal with the worldly affairs and the court. He ends up being titled despite not wanting that.
RY died for the nation which framed her as the villain and sentenced her to death. RY also died an assassin something despite being good at she didn’t want to do anymore,
someone pls spoil the ending for me. some said all died but some said the main couple alive..which one is true?
I haven’t watched the episodes yet so im not completely sure about the ending but I’ve seen NYZ and RY end up having two kids Ning Shisan and Ren Lu

That child at the end with Chu Yue is a projection of NYZ and RY children in heaven. Ning Shisan doesn’t exist in the real world.
