THEORY:

Just realised the other reason why the writers are having GYX and HZ break up. YX is still ‘in mourning’ for this father, so he’s not allowed to marry for 3 years. The breakup will allow for a time skip.
Hopefully my theory is wrong it would be sad if YX and HZ are apart for a long time.

This drama was doing well in the beginning but the incestuous sister stuff is ridiculous (I know he’s adopted but my point still stand). Qin Xun became more and more annoying. Even Yi Zihe became a little more likeable than Lu Siqi/Yao Lefei and Qin Xun.

The only reason I could finish this is because the ML and FL have chemistry.

I haven’t read the novel but it’s safe to assume they break up due to the lack of freedom HZ would have if she marries YX

I feel bad for Prince Xian, as extreme his actions were. You can understand why he tried to get rid of Emperor he’s stressful.

Yes. He’s very paranoid about someone taking his throne. Even his own sons he is cautious of, hence why he hasn’t choose a crown prince and why GYX had to scar his face & why he sent the poisoned pastry’s to his brother.

Madame Xia proves once again she is the smartest lady in the house after Hua Zhi. She noticed that there is something up with Yanxi’s identity, following the madames’ fake commander antics and tried to question HZ about it. While HZ didn’t directly tell her, she left room for Xia to know that his identity isn’t clear cut.
