These three women are smart but surely flawed characters. HH is better, but at times I find that it's hard to see her so easy to trust others. BY has a bad temper, and whenever something goes wrong, she dumps her frustrations on the people around her, and with that, it was easy for her to place blame on others rather than calmly analyzing the situation before jumping to conclusions. YY has grey morals. She does everything she can to safeguard what is important to her, including betraying the trust of her friends. She also places her future and happiness in the hand of a man she knows as a scum.
I'm still enjoying this show. The relationship between Jun Hao and Zimo was one of my favorite moments.
8 episodes done and I'm loving it. LLH's ability to lie without batting an eyelash is incredible and FDB's gullibility is quite endearing. The cases are interesting and the script is not bad at all. This is the first time in a long time I'm eager for the next episode.
Watched a couple of episodes and I say I like it a lot. The story is interesting and I like both LLH and FDB's characters. I'd say Joseph portrays his character very well. And Chengyi does know how to pick a good script.
The stupidity of this FL is baffling. I tried so hard to tolerate it but god, seeing her act brainless 90% of the time makes me want to smash my screen into smithereens!
I hated Xu Qin's selfishness, pettiness, and stubbornness. She was manipulative with Song Yan's feelings. She had so many tricks to get SY's sympathy without considering if the other party welcomes it or not. But...it was hard to hate her all the way. She is probably the loneliest being on earth. She is basically a walking dead. Her life is hanging by a thread, and her lifeline...is Song Yan. The book was much more angsty because all their thoughts were emphasized. I truly hated Xu Qin at first, and then I pitied her more.
Song Yan....is one loyal man. He understood that without him, it wouldn't take too much time until Xu Qin might find life too difficult to bear. He patiently waited for Xu Qin to decide...and even when she was undecided, he respected her indecisiveness. Because among everyone who claimed to know her, he was the only person who truly does...
Acting-wise, I'm ok with it. But sometimes, the emotions that I expected from Xu Qin were not met because of the actress' voice and this decreased my positive viewing experience.
The production is good but...let's not get distracted by the kind of relationship Seo Joon and Ji Woo had. I mean, define toxic relationship! Don't be fooled by how happy they seemed to be after their reconciliation. They were that happy in season 1 too. Ji Woo has some serious relationship issues that may have been a result of the tragedy that he went through when he was younger (parents & prev relationships) and Seo Joon has demons of his own. They both need therapy.
I'm here for my two most favorite in cdrama, Jun and Reba. I have not read the novel, but I heard it was angsty (which I have a love-hate relationship with this genre) but the 4 episodes I've watched so far are more like comedy. I need more of Zi Yuan, her mission, and her determination to exact her revenge. What I see for now is just Anle.
And man, sorry, but the dubbing was just off-putting.
Anyway, I still love the acting from the very expressive Jun. I am glad I don't see much slouch from Liu Yu Ning anymore.
I cannot comment yet with only 4 episodes but....this show is filled with pretty faces. I'm not complaining. I'm a face fan of both ZLS and CZY. The brother is hot too!
This drama almost gave me a heart attack. It is heartbreaking...too heartbreaking tbh. I commend the crew, they did excellent work. The actors did especially well. The emotional highs were executed perfectly. Every time Yoon Young cries, my heart breaks with her and I can feel her pain vividly. She's an exceptional actress, she has grown so much.
WHat AAAA!!!!! I just finished Ep 9 and I CANNOTTTTTT!!!! I hyperventilated because I cried so bad!!! The emotional scene between father and daughter at the end was just too much for my fragile heart.
