Several JBLs adopt the anime, slapstick kind of acting which translate well onto the screen at all. And many of the storylines are overly cutesy or bland.

Why is it so important to you that Dew must have said that? As a Gun fan (assuming from your display picture), why are you so insecure about your fave that you need to make up fake scenarios to glaze him? Your admiration for your fave shouldn’t depend on outside validation.

You are wrong, the fan gathering where fans asked Dew if he wanted to work in BL and Dew mentioned Gun’s name was just a couple of months before the lineup was announced. By that time, the casting was already done, so that’s why Dew gave that hint.

The Japanese BLs this year are extremely mediocre, much worse than some of the Thai BLs. So let’s not generalize maybe.

Pondphuwin always have amazing romantic chemistry and this one is no exception. Phuwin often plays tsundere in his other BL roles, so I’m sure he’s relishing the chance to openly play Peach as a sweetheart.

This show deserves every bit of praise it’s getting, take a bow PPW.

Peach is such a great match for Thee! In typical narratives like these, where a plucky commoner teaches a rich, out of touch character the value of money and the realities of ordinary life, it can often happen that the lessons are too abrupt. The poor character can come across as abrasive or mocking while the rich character can be too caricaturish.

I’m in awe of how this show maintains the balance so delicately, with Peach being so sweetly patient with Thee while still maintaining his boundaries. A person with an iota of less patience would have probably already washed his hands off of Thee, but not Peach! Though Thee’s lifestyle is so wildly different to what Peach is used to, he still makes so much effort to understand him and indulges Thee. Literally bathing your partner because he asked you with puppy eyes, who else is doing it like Peach? Phuwin plays Peach with so much fondness, it’s adorable.

I love how the show also shows their increasing intimacy with each episode. Thee is clearly sexually experienced and obviously wants Peach in every way imaginable. And though Peach is relatively inexperienced, once he realizes his feelings for Thee, he’s all in, no shying away. Speed running developing feelings for a man to having him “eat you up” to sitting on his lap in the bathtub, all within a fortnight. Good for Peach, he doesn’t waste time 😭😭

He directed a number of Gmmtv’s shows, he’s one of the main directors there I think. He has a good eye for visuals, framing etc, but from a storytelling perspective, I really only like Cherry Magic Thailand and Me and Thee among his series that I’ve watched.

Pond’s characters are always written as the more experienced pursuers, while Phuwin’s characters are almost always the younger and more inexperienced. So from a characterisation perspective, it makes sense that Pond takes the lead.

I can clearly feel that PPW are very physically comfortable with each other, their hugs, small touches, spooning in bed, etc look very natural. But clearly my opinion is subjective and ymmv

Every episode is a banger. They are knocking it out of the park fr. The perfect romcom.

I don’t vibe with some of the director’s earlier shows, but both Cherry Magic Thailand and Me and Thee are just perfection.

I mean, they had really good intimate scenes in NLMG. And while a few of the kisses in We Are looked weird, their bed scenes were very intimate and natural as well

It was because Pond wouldn’t pass as half white, not because of political reasons which are viewed with a different lens outside the Western world. They mentioned it when the pilot came out, that they tried but it was not feasible to make him look like the original character.

It’s not surprising when you see the pattern lmao. A few accounts using the same exact phrasing to try to downplay the leads and uplift the cameo🤣 like this is not a show with side couples, the other two are tiny cameos. A few days ago multiple accounts were complaining about how “diabolical” the high rating is. Now they have moved on to the “no romantic chemistry” phrasing. They are so obvious.

It’s just petty fanwars. Me and Thee is a phenomenal and mainstream success, and that’s causing other couple fandoms to crash out. They are desperately looking for ways to cope, that’s all there is to it.

The dark room kiss is so pretty, I love the mood lighting lol

PondPhuwin have always had stellar romantic chemistry and they are knocking it out of the park right now. I love every instance when Thee makes Peach feel butterflies in his stomach, and vice versa. Like Peach undoing Thee’s tie completely stuns him. And while Peach is amused by Thee’s antics, he is also genuinely charmed by his rizz.

The scene with Thee covering Peach’s ear with one hand while he shoots with the other is still my fave. The juxtaposition of violence with tenderness is marvellous. And Phuwin’s expression! 😭Pond has the flashier role but Phuwin is doing so so well at capturing the quiet strength and emotional core of Peach.

These two deserve every bit of success they are getting right now.

Okay, honestly, is there another version that y’all are watching, because the version I watched was a very nice first kiss? And no, Phuwin doesn’t kiss any different in his straight dramas.

Another great episode, I liked that they introduced some new plot threads, with the new photographer and Peach’s new job. Thee has really good rizz at times, that and his face are the only things stopping him from losing all his aura 😭

Thee and Peach capture all the air in the room, the pacing is a little slow when the show is not just focused on them and their chemistry.

It continues to amuse me how this show is impacting certain subsections of BL fans. Like sure, bad faith nitpicking is definitely gonna convince people they do not like the show or the leads 😭
