The problem with relying on physical attractiveness is that it is so subjective, so it hard to convince viewers without backing it up with something more substantial. Especially when Gun does not fully adhere to conventional beauty standards.

When Not Me was airing, a lot of the hype about the romantic aspect was for DanYok. Before watching the show, I actually thought DanYok were the main characters because most of the edits and online hype I saw were for them.
Gun’s roles as Black/White was more appreciated than the BL part of Sean and White.

I never felt romantic chemistry between him and his partners (Off and Film) that I have seen . And that actually plays out in the acclaim that he gets too, his most successful roles are his non BL roles.

You know what would be truly hot and something I would like to see? Off and Dew together 🤭🤭

Gun is good in roles like the gifted or leap day, when he plays neurodivergent or character roles, but I don’t vibe with him as a romantic lead. And his most successful roles/characters are those kinds of roles too vs BL roles.

The love story aspect of this series is being built so well. Often times, BL series show instalove, there’s no buildup and it’s hard to even understand why two characters love each other.

Here, even though Thee is definitely attracted to Peach at first glance, the romance is not flimsy, it’s well grounded. Both Thee and Peach are so fricking nice to each other! Thee is ridiculous, yes, but he is also completely earnest and you can see how his sincerity touches Peach’s heart. Peach sets his boundaries and stands up to Thee, but also indulges him in so many ways that Thee feels cared for.

Plus both of them have rizz lol. You can see both of them getting butterflies induced by the other person.
