I don’t believe gmmtv made this, since it’s actually good. that’s not like them at all
I mean, that’s pretty standard practice for gmmtv. They make 5 mediocre series and then an amazing one which makes people stan and forgive the rest. Bad Buddy, Cherry Magic, My School President, High School Frenemy, Peaceful Property, 1000 stars, etc are all superb series from them.
The only good thing about this show was the ParkChet relationship, that’s it. Till the very last episode, their scenes were monumentally more moving than anything else in the rest of the show.
The ending for the lead couple is completely unearned and I felt nothing when they reunited. The show’s writing is so clunky for the lead pair, it’s like they leached out any sort of interest or poignancy from their relationship. It was just ticking the boxes, they are a fixed BL CP and hence they must get together at the end of the series to fulfill their fandom expectations, that’s it.
for someone who gave we are a 7.0 u are doing too much lol
You are so devoid of any intelligence and taste that you bend your knee at the slightest hint of “artsy” treatment, without stopping to think whether or not it actually consists of artistic merit. That’s why you couldn’t cope with OP’s comment.
I, unlike you, have had enough exposure to sufficient media with a variety of artistic expression, which is why I have enough sense to distinguish the specific intent of different shows. We Are successfully portrayed what it set out to do, a slice of life portrayal of a friend group, focusing on friendship and a soft approach to romance. So yeah, the vast majority love We are, that just facts. My “opinion” however is that “your opinion” is trash and you need to understand the definition of common sense, since you don’t possess any.

We Are does what it sets out to do very well, which is to portray the vignettes of a friend group over a year. Not sure what this comment is supposed to mean, because We Are is super appreciated and popular 🤷🏽♀️
The script is asinine and the production quality is not much better either. Yeah yeah, I understand it’s a soap opera and it’s supposed to be “wicked” or whatever, but that doesn’t excuse the storyline going in circles , the irrational character motivations, and the almost slapstick “action sequences” which happen in this show.
The first half wasn’t bad but the last half is terrible. DaouOffroad are not for me it seems. Their first show was boring, second show was messy, and the third show is even worse.
Pondphuwin have so much chemistry it’s just *chef’s kiss*. Pond looking at Phuwin like 🥺 reminds me of the scene in NLMG when they first meet and Palm looks at Neung with puppy dog eyes.
This show is such a pleasure to watch. Endearing characters, comedic scenes, appealing visuals, good pacing, awesome romantic chemistry, everything fits together beautifully.
I'm confused, maybe they need to update the description or something? "After a dramatic first encounter, photographer…
The audience and Mok realizes that Thee already likes Peach but Thee hasn’t realized it himself yet. So officially he is still “pursuing” Aran, but his real interest is in Peach.
Agreed that Park as a bodyguard is terrible, but as a bf, he's perfect. Sometimes its cute to see 2 incompetent…
That’s the point, Pheem may have set up the murder of Jason but he didn’t kill him by his own hands. Also Jason was trying to kill him first, so it’s the self defense argument.
Similarly, Chet may have tried to kill Pheem but the show’s narrative didn’t even let him be shot via Chet’s schemes. Chet didn’t kill Wut though it would’ve made his life much easier if he did. Also, he couldn’t pull the trigger on Pheem when he had him helpless and bound in front of him.
All of that is in contrast to the way Risa is portrayed, cold bloodedly killing an unconscious person with her own hands. Plus setting up the senator’s murder and possibly Wut’s too. The father is the big bad but it’s never fully acknowledged in the show, and given he’s dead they probably never will. The show started with Chet’s mom committing murder and will end with Risa being the final boss, while Chet and Pheem may even partially reconcile (given the flash back).
🤣 I was reading these unserious theories on tumblr that basically said that Park really only signed up for caretaker part of the job, that’s why he cooks, cleans and cuddles Chet so well. Park misses all the shots he takes either because his heart is not in the bodyguard/personal hitman duty portion of the job description, or he is playing 3d chess. Accumulating a body count the way Risa has does not bode well for long term survival, it will sooner or later come back to bite Chet in the ass, so Park doesn’t end up killing people but simply plays along to humour Chet.
But on a serious note, I think the narrative has intentionally not put any blood on Park’s or Chet’s hands (not counting the accidental death of the dad) because that leaves a path open for redemption. Park and Chet even left Wut alive, even though it would’ve been best for them to silence him as soon as they made him take the blame. This is the same reason why ultimately Pheem too doesnt have any direct deaths on his hands, the show will try to redeem him by the end.
So by the end, the two villains that are explicitly called out as villainous and shown to be murderers are the two women - Chet’s mom and Risa. Even though it’s the dad who is the root cause of all the suffering in the show. Another case of “evil BL women” 🫤
