I couldn’t resist buying the novel this is based off of and…lol, GNT in the book is the one that does ALL the chasing 🤣🤣 And if y’all thought CX was headstrong here, she’s even more so in the novel!

🤣 When she heard I gave it a 7.5 she was like “Not even an 8?!?!” needless to say she’s turned into a big fan of Wang Kai. She left a message saying that their chemistry alone is worth 8.5 🫣 Also asked me if TSY will do a costume drama with WK or not bc she says he’s got good facial structure for costume drama hahahahaha

Finally wrote up my long and rambling review with a final rating of 7.5 for me. Honestly wouldn't have rated this any higher than a 5.5 based on story-alone but for their chemistry, for TSY/WK, for the directing and Cheng Xiao-Jie as our female lead; can't do worse than a 7.5.

Congrats to the director, the cast and the crew for letting us onboard this journey! It's been an entertaining ride for sure. Hoping they'll get to work together again on another project but am glad that they all got to meet on this flight nonetheless!

Well….I’ll go rewatch the kiss & ep38 in general to pretend it’s ep40 and the drama ended on a high note, lol.

CX is a really amazing girl and I find her so inspiring. I can see why TSY picked this script. On the other hand, without her and Wang Kai leading, this is a 5.5/10 drama at best, lol. Going to need to think about how many points to add for WK’s face and their chemistry 🤣

Will TSY act again with WK 😭 If this was their only collab, I’ll be so sad. Can TSY pls change her “habit” 🫣

Now that I've calmed down and put away my knives...I'm going to just wager a guess that the surgery GNT has to do isn't going to affect his flying in the long-run. Perhaps he won't be able to captain the inaugural D191 flight but he should be ok after the surgery. My bets are on the surgery being a cataract surgery which is actually quite a common issue for pilots and the procedure itself is super safe and easy. It's got a quick 1 week-ish recovery time and from the scenes we're still missing (the move-in together and the hug on the rooftop), it doesn't seem like he's blind or anything xD Still will be extremely annoyed if he doesn't get to fly the D191 flight though...and even more annoyed if he tries to hide the issue from CX.

I really appreciate that they showed GNT as the one who took the first step towards CX at the crosswalk. Their pace has finally matched up 💕

Seriously! I know that pilots in my country can fly after lasik if the doctor says that the eyes have recovered but I don’t know about China. If this ends his career…!! 40 mins and you’re going to waste it on GNT hiding his eye issue/surgery?!

I’m just going to be here rewatching ep38 a couple dozen times, don’t mind me!

I was preparing myself for our typical cdrama kiss and when I saw the scene my eyes popped! Definitely worth the wait!! The BTS is also worth the wait xD

Saw TSY's interview with iQiyi in which she said that the relationship between CX and GNT is like this: "CX is willing to take 99 steps towards GNT and wait for him to take that 1 step towards her. There will certainly be a day when that happens."

Girl, that step better be a HUGE step, that's all I'm saying!

My biggest issue with the show is the pacing too. It went FULL STOP on all the romance and just piled on the angst along with stopping all flight/aviation angle. The writer should've been able to handle both at once! I'm pretty sure the 12 stories thing is just to say that the drama was influenced by 12 different aviation stories, not that the drama will mention them all.

(They really could've had CX and GNT get together even before this. I do think though that the fans in China are tuning in more though with the later episodes so maybe it's more suitable for a Chinese audience with the angle they went at it?)
