That dinner party omgggg. I want him to suffer but I want CX to be the one to make him suffer, not NZ, lol. His fake smiles, oh boy. Wang Kai WHY you gotta be so good at acting that I feel bad for you?!

Now that CX knows about the whole noble idiocy thing, GNT is really going to have to make up for it. Lol, it'd be sweet if CX's like "so, anyone else you want to pass me onto or are we good for right now?" but she's too nice to hit him where he hurts x.x

The thing with the Dad is that he tends to do things behind the Mom's back as well and doesn't really stick up for CX when it matters in front of Mom. Maybe it's bc he's a retired judge but he tends to try and pacify and then make up for the issues afterwards (like with college he sneaked out after and with the apartment, he probably did it behind his wife's back too). He's great and supportive but only when it's him and CX. I think now he's thinking CX should put her career on hold for now and do everything to help the Mom (including finding a fake bf, yeah ok.)

GNT should follow his own advice and seek a therapist IMO!

GNT's brain really loads slowly.

He's keeping an entire apartment in CX's memory just like he did with his ex AND he's been carrying around that one earring of CX's on him? The guy rushed over once he heard from SS that CX hurt herself so he clearly didn't have time to grab the earring which means he had it on him at all times. If I may suggest, please make a pro/con list, GNT.

I think as viewers, it's natural to want to root for the main CP and therefore dislike any side characters that want to go after the main leads. However, like I've said in a few comments before, I still don't think NZ did anything wrong in going after CX.

NZ didn't grow up rich. Every opportunity and success that he had in life, he also worked hard for. Like he told GNT up in the mountains, he was using secondhand books donated by well-to-do families like GNT's. He absolutely did not get to being the head of a department by waiting around for a chance to drop into his lap. Yes, he knew CX likes GNT but by inserting himself into the equation, he didn't hurt CX at all but himself (and GNT but that's mainly GNT's own fault, lol). He's treated CX extremely well and helped her in every way he could. I hope he pulls out of the situation in the next few episodes but he didn't do anything wrong by going after CX (in my books).

Lol, I remember leaving an exact comment about wanting Ning Meng to be single too. The ML in MoMo was truly toxic (actually, even the SML was terrible.) I'm still rooting for GNT here, I'm just rooting for CX more xD

Seriously though, I felt some sympathy for GNT in these two episodes. He really very clearly is struggling with his own personal issues but I need him to open his mouth and DO something bc if he doesn't seek others, others cannot force him.

It looks like it might be separate cases though. GNT says it's a female passenger and the passenger that passed out is male. They might relate to each other though, hmm.

These days I watch the previews for next day's episodes before I watch today's episodes so I can know whether I can cheer for GNT and CX yet, sigh.

I really, really hope that the show doesn't go down that rabbit hole. Please just solve the issues between GNT and his ex properly so we can all move on, show!!

I don't think CX will go for it either though. She's not the type to lie and considering she knows that NZ likes her...I don't think she'd used him that way.

Pretty sure it’s to cut off all of CX’s hopes. Like his Shifu said, since he decided to give up on CX then he should make a clean cut and not hinder her future.m by giving her any chances. It’s also why he was trying to be so clear when rejecting CX vs when he rejected Yuheng. He doesn’t care for Yuheng but he’s trying to be extra forceful with CX.

He’s pulling the noble idiot card and thinking it’s better to suffer alone but they’re both suffering so really, he’s just being dumb.

It seems from the trailer that the Director Sun fellow is a creep. He specifically asked for Jiang to invite CX to the dinner and the focus on the handshake shows he’s probably into CX. Not sure if Jiang is playing dirty or not though. Another sign of Director Sun being a creep is GNT showing up at the dinner and pulling CX away while also yelling at NZ about bringing CX to “such a place”.

In the next cut scene, NZ is clearly drunk and yelling at GNT for “giving” CX away to him or basically letting him have CX. He thens asks exactly what does he take CX as, someone he can just give away like that? And what does he (GNT) take him (NZ) as? Obviously CX overhears all of this so….

I’m agree wholeheartedly! I don’t know if this is going to happen since we know that GNT’s Mom has CX’s number now but I really do want it to be GNT who comes clean about everything and explains properly to CX exactly why it is that he struggles so much with letting her in/opening himself up emotionally.

I think at this point, GNT has admitted to himself that he likes CX but he is unable to allow himself to take that step of being with her out of either guilt to his ex or to NZ. He really has to resolve his past trauma with his ex before he embarks on a new relationship with CX just to be fair to her and himself. I’m interested to see how he does that bc I don’t think having some sort of jealous fit or life/death situation will solve his issues.

Also, boy better GROVEL. He better chase after CX 5x as hard as CX chased after him! I’m tired of him moping alone in the dark and I’m frustrated at him for making CX suffer. I know it isn’t easy but I need him to make an effort.

I really want to applaud the show for putting such a spotlight on the obstacles that women go through in the workplace. As Cheng Xiao said herself, she graduated from a good university and has had the top grades on all her exams ever since entering Luzhou Airlines. She is MORE than qualified to be a pilot and she has herself to thank for where she is today. The fact that someone as obviously talented and hardworking as she is can still get knocked down so easily by rumors when the two men also involved in the scandal barely have to deal with any public scrutiny shows the double standards that women face. Nah, CX doesn't need any male saviors, she's her own best protector!
