Did they just kill Tang Lian in tomorrows preview what the hell happened?
Don't despair or maybe, do despair T__T
Tang Lian learns how to brew wine from the book that was given to him by Xie Xuan and that's the wine that allows him to fast-track his cultivation/powers. He knew he'd need it on the road and as the Da-shixiong, he wanted to take care of the worst of the bunch for them.
The good news is that he lives but the bad news is that unless the drama re-writes the plot a bit, he won't show up till like the very, very, very end.
He sent her a roomful of flowers and she had her cheeky smile reading the card. I guess she is making him Grovel…
I saw the teasers! Haha, it's cute the way CX was clutching one bouquet while her whole living room was filled! It seems like GNT left all the flowers there for her because they were inside her apartment and not out. I guess he either has a key or knows the password? I'm guessing they're together by ep37 end and 38/39 will hopefully have some cute scenes with them!
Although from the teasers, I'll wager a guess that CX needs time and the whole landing gear issue will trigger…
I agree! I think what fans really enjoyed was the push and pull between CX and GNT. It was refreshing and cute bc it was CX doing all the flirting while GNT was panicking nonstop xD I miss those days too but I hope they'll sneak some scenes in like that in the last few episodes.
I had higher hopes for the romance because of the director (and because of TSY and Wang Kai, of course) but yeah, the scriptwriter is just...sigh what can we do, lol. Can't win them all, can only hope that the leads pair up for another drama in the future...(super slim chance since it's TSY but still x.x)
CX's mother's legal interventions make absolutely no sense. It's normal for two parts to have a conflict of interest,…
I'm not well-versed at all in China's judicial system but I do know that the process for their civil suits differs greatly from my own country (US). There's a panel of judges and assessors (they kind of function as the jury but there is no such thing as trial by peers in China) who will hold court to listen to all details of a case before putting forth a judgement.
I don't believe CX's Mom was rejecting the witnesses but arguing the veracity of the witness statements. The plaintiff had zero physical evidence to show that the tapes were fake and the only evidence the lawyer could present was from witness statements so CX's Mom arguments that the witnesses could have personal agendas against her client are valid. If she can make the judges question whether the witnesses are reliable or not, then the case the plaintiff side has is even slimmer. Both CX and GNT have personal issues with Jiang Tao and since LYC lied on his original statement, what is to say he isn't lying to the judges when he says that the recording is fake? Both sides are presenting their cases and since the defendant is innocent until proven guilty, the burden on providing evidence will be on the plaintiff and they have no evidence, lol.
I know I originally said I wanted CX to make GNT grovel and to not forgive him immediately....well, I take it…
Although from the teasers, I'll wager a guess that CX needs time and the whole landing gear issue will trigger CX into action. We'll finally get our flying hug and kiss (that was promised by ep35...men are not to be trusted!)
I know I originally said I wanted CX to make GNT grovel and to not forgive him immediately....well, I take it back. The second that man manages to open his mouth and confess, FORGIVE HIM. We only have three episodes left, at this point the one being tortured won't be him but us, the audience T___T
It's a happy ending! Major spoilers below if you want to skip! The second prince, Xiao Chong, regains his eyesight…
Yeah, you can tell by how the first two volumes were focused mostly on Lei Wujie that the author wanted him to be MC xD unfortunately, he’s not interesting enough I think and Xiao Se’s storyline is a better story IMO! Even here, he’s clearly more suited to be a sidekick!
(I wish instead of a prequel, the author wrote a sequel with Wuxin like you said xD
When GnT was talking with DZ about his feelings about CX, if he felt that way, what was he waiting for to tell…
I think GNT wanted CX to focus on the case first as he knew it was really stressing her out worrying about finding evidence.
It makes perfect sense he tells his ex first actually bc it was his guilt towards her (and towards NZ) that resulted in him rejecting CX! He was saying goodbye to his ex with that text and finally moving on.

Even when reading the novel, Wuxin’s personality is one of my favorites! I don’t think the author ever wanted Wuxin to be a member of the main group but he became popular with fans hahahaha

In the novel, Wuxin does it on purpose to uncover another secret/plot point but I’m not sure if it’ll be used in the drama since it might be censored. Basically though, Wuxin has a plan when he let himself be controlled and he has a plan to get out of Xiao Yu’s control that Xiao Se understands.
Xiao Yu has something he uses to control Wuxin so it’s not that he’s stronger than Wuxin.

Yeah, I wonder if the drama will change things up a bit since they’ve changed other minor details already from the novel! Maybe they’ll feature Wuxin a bit more; he’s one of my favorite characters if not favorite! His personality is so lol 😂 If they don’t change it though, he really would only feature for like a handful of episodes :(

In the second half of the book, Wuxin basically does not show up for like 80%. Without spoiling too much of the plot, he becomes under the control of Xiao Yu (Prince Chi’s real name lol).
Sikong Qianluo is one of the moist pointless main characters ever. The girl has next to nothing chemistry between…
I think they just made a mistake with the casting here. The actors don't have much chemistry together but her character is better in the novel, and actually that one line that Xiao Se says about there only being one of each of them in the world was said by her and not him in the book. The writers probably wanted that moment to be cooler for Xiao Se but they dumbed down Sikong QianLuo too much for the series.
Can someone pls tell me the novel end for Xiaose, Wuxin, Lei Wujie, Tang Lian, and Prince Chi? Give me a spoiler,…

The second prince, Xiao Chong, regains his eyesight (thanks to the genius doc) and takes over the throne as the next Emperor. Xiao Se has never wanted the throne; what he wanted was a peaceful Tian Qi and his Uncle's innocence! He leaves after all the problems are taken care of and explores the Jianghu with his friends like he always wanted to.
The whole thing is tricky, but basically the Emperor leaves two scrolls behind stating who he's chosen as his successor. One scroll he gives to Xiao Se (the name written on the scroll is Xiao Chong) and that is the one that the Emperor wants to be announced after he dies. The other scroll he gives to the head Eunuch and the name on that scroll is actually Xiao Se. But this scroll, the Emperor has ordered to be sealed and not be read. This is a trick of the Emperor's. He does indeed love Xiao Se the most and is aware that Xiao Se also does not want to be the future Emperor so that's why on the scroll to be announced he has written Xiao Chong. If Xiao Se does end up wanting to be Emperor, he could change the name himself and when they verify it with the second scroll, it would be correct and Xiao Se can be Emperor. But Xiao Se doesn't want to be Emperor so it all works out! Xiao Se also destroys the second scroll so in the future there won't be any issues.
Tang Lian doesn't actually die. It's a bit of a cop out actually, lol. The novel has him dead and then in the last line in the last chapter he's like "Hey, I'm back" kind of situation. It's not really explained what happened but he says he was in bed resting.
Lao Qi aka Xiao Yu dies. In the novel he kills himself after being cornered by Xiao Se and Wuxin. He's the mastermind behind everything and once it's revealed and he has no other paths, he rather kill himself than be killed by Xiao Se or Wuxin.
EDITED: clearly people don’t know or understand what a Toxic relationship is : On a basic level, any relationship…
Like the others said, I would not classify the relationship between GNT and CX as ever having been toxic. Yes, GNT hurt CX emotionally when he rejected her but that's part of the risk anyone takes when they confess so you could also argue that CX hurt NZ when he confessed and she rejected him straight away. I do think he was unnecessary mean at times in saying things that he knew would hurt her and it was also hurtful that he kept being hot/cold with her. But throughout the entirety of when CX was chasing after/flirting with GNT in the earlier episodes, she was well aware that GNT had issues accepting her and was a willing participant in being the chaser. (Also wouldn't say they count as being in a romantic relationship as of ep34.)
As a character as well, GNT is most definitely NOT toxic, lol. Contrary to that, he has proven to be someone that understands CX and has supported her through many issues. Unlike other MLs though, he is not someone who will openly share the things that he's done so perhaps that's why you're getting the wrong idea. He's a man who keeps his heart closed and stays in his shell where it's safe, not someone who purposely tries to hurt others for his own satisfaction. He hurt himself worse than he hurt CX during the rejection period which is another sign he's not a toxic human being. He's also never degraded CX, so really not sure where you're getting the toxic mantle from.
