From what I've gathered, today's episode is essentially ep 12. The recap episode aired during that one week when no live broadcast happened is considered ep 7 on Viki. On the official page, it says 11 episodes so it's up to the MDL staff to see which way they want to update the page on here, with 12 eps (including the special ep) or just 11 eps :)
It's live on youtube tomorrow at 1:30 pm UK time as usual. And the episode on Viki comes out a day after the live…
Yeah, it's been live-streaming with eng subs on YouTube since the start!! it's on Mnet's channel, the stream shows up right on time so you might have to refresh a few times before it shows :) https://www.youtube.com/@Mnet/streams x
Cha Min has my heart. I did not think I would enjoy this, but this surprised me. And that ending, it was the cutest most fluffiest ending. Jae Rim-Cha Min, you'll be missed ♡
I love how kdramas have been experimenting with shorter episode styles lately, it helps not drag and ruin the show with unnecessary drama, but it's painful when the drama is super good and you don't want it to end :( I have been so excited about this since it was announced that Kim Seon Ho and Go Youn Jung would be the leads, I don't know how I'll wait until next year or longer before this is filmed and released.
Him as a ghost slayer in a dark fantasy drama, just thinking about it makes me super excited. After his role in Vigilante, this dark role would suit him. I am imagining something as grand as Alchemy of Souls, omg I just love fantasy historicals so much!!
Does the Korean entertainment industry even have an actress who would fit the character? I feel like I don't see…
If you think of actresses who usually play leads then none come to my mind sadly. But if you think of actresses playing support roles there are a few that you can see in a lot of dramas. But in this drama, although the sister is a support role, the role of the family as a whole is bigger so they wanted a well-known name to play Bok Dong Hee, so the suit and makeup was the way to go. Of course, oftentimes larger Korean actresses would be considered large under Korean standards but for someone from a Western country that would look normal. Look at so many idols being called out for their weight by Koreans but usually they are just healthy or have baby fat.
The only way I can explain them choosing special makeup over another actress for Bok Dong Hee's role is that the family will regain their powers fairly quickly in the upcoming episodes. Nonetheless. I hope it works out this way, cos otherwise it would have been better if they cast an actress that fits the character instead of going through all the time and hard work of putting the makeup and suit on...
This was not what I was expecting at all, and I'm not even sure what I thought this would be like. The first episode was so different and interesting and I loved it. It reminds me of the distinctive mood that some Korean movies typically have but in the form of a drama. I don't know how to explain it, but Korean movies usually have this very distinct darker vibe, that is so different from how dramas and series feel, think Parasite for example. This has the potential to be so good—I'm 100% hooked.
Probably because Germany was such a special place for them, full of sad and happy memories. They went there when they were first in love for their honeymoon, and when Hae In got sick they had to go there for her treatment and through it all they fell for each other again while resisting their honeymoon memories and places. They later went there with their daughter too so it explains how emotionally attached they were to that place :)
Who is the one beside Taesung. Is he the taxi driver?
I thought he was one of the other actors' that is in Eclipse, the drummer, or another director/pd, I think I've seen him in other bts making videos... but he looks more like the actor who plays the drums to me :)
