As you mentioned, the track and field scene in Korea is unpopular. Maybe Minji wants to use her popularity to shine even more light on that, as you said, she seems super passionate about the sport and only does TV when she is not practising or competing, and Single's Inferno is pretty popular in Korea and internationally too. Or she might've gotten recommended by her agency to go, maybe she genuinely loves the concept of the show. Or like I said above, maybe this year they're changing up a bit (fingers crossed lol), maybe we'll have more known people, or just sports people or something new like that, which is making me excited, but then again, I cannot trust the producers too much, they always promise new twists but never really live up to the expectations. I would really love to see a little spice up in the concept!!

Korean dating shows are scripted to a certain extent, in the sense that producers usually try to guide a certain storyline, and you can kind of see that most of them are there for exposure, some to either get recognition and get cast in dramas and become actors and others wanting to become influencers/models. Come to think of it, how many of them even last on the outside? Yes, they hang out for a while and do interviews and stuff, but I don't think I've ever heard of anyone being close to being 100% a couple.
But I'm excited to see how they would react to Kim Minji, maybe this season they're changing things up and bringing more popular singles? I'm curious now
