yeah that was really weird. i feel like the drama makers forgot what they need to focus on. not to trash talk…
I feel like we need to know everything about the angels and demons before focusing on the side characters. It's odd that everything about the protagonists is up in the air but hey I know how Geum-soon got to know Tae-san now so!
I am confused as to why Geum-soon deserves two episodes full of backstory, but Mirr, O-gwi and Hae-tae's backstories are trickled down??? It's so baffling????
There are 8 episodes, each with around 45 minutes of runtime. WHY ARE WE SPENDING 10 MINUTES SHOWING A SLOW PAN OF THE ANGELS CRYING?! What the hell is this drama?!
Finished watching Love Untangled on Netflix and had a good time. It's quite generic in its story progression and character development, with an odd conflict towards the end that I am still unable to wrap my head around, but overall, I enjoyed it thanks to Shin Eun-soo's genuine performance. Gong Myung felt a bit too old to be a high-schooler, in my opinion, but they did share a natural chemistry. Overall, a good one-time watch.
Whale Store XOXO came to an end this week, and I guess it ended how I expected it to. The ending is sweet and gives us everything that we might want, but the ending felt a bit rushed. I was somewhat disappointed, but not too much either. It's an odd feeling that I haven't felt for a show in a long time. Again, I enjoyed the performances, some conflicts were interesting, but I think the show didn't push itself to explore more than generic surface-level gay relationships. I am not saying I expected something serious or extremely deep, but this one seemed to have nothing that truly differentiated it from others.
Don't understand why someone just doesn't throw Yeo-jeong off a car/cliff/landing. She's so... annoying. I want to slap her and tell her to go back to the US.
Literally nothing is happening with the angel storyline. With 12 characters, they are the most boring set of people I have ever seen, with nothing distinguishing them, and all of them thinking about food. Just stop it with the qUiRkY food sequences and give me something concrete!!
Thank god for Hyung-sik's O-gwi, at least there is some adventure.
Finished watching Aema, and I loved it. First and foremost, Lee HaNee and Bang Hyo-rin are fantastic as the two protagonists and bring out so much of their characters' subtleties in every frame. You can't help but be engaged because the performances are just so good.
Meanwhile, the story is raw, emotional and thoroughly impactful. It gets a bit chaotic and insane sometimes, but there isn't a moment it feels out of place. In fact, I found the insanity to be a part of the charm of the show and had a great time watching it unfold.
There's a hope within the hopelessness of Aema's story, and I went through a whole host of feelings throughout its 6-episode runtime.

Regardless, it's great for a breezy watch.

I am so glad (till now) that I started this drama on a whim!
