I have finished the whole series and have been in a daze since. It's been a part of my weekly habit for about 2 mos and I now need to part with it so I need to savour the experience for some time. yeah, it was intense. while CH was standing outside the building, it was obvious he's ready to fight if he wasn't too happy with RH's next actions. But when he asked RH why he did that then RH answered "you should have already known the answer to that on the day you insisted to save Orchid" then the past discussion was shown. There were bursting emotions both in that past and the present discussion. Then RH admitted that his friendship with CH was sincere. I guess, simply put, they were both empathizing with each other.

I'm betting it's Chidi's primordial spirit. Reasons are: 1. Rong Hao said he hid it in a place nobody can guess, while waiting for the final stages of Chidi's resurrection. 2. When Chidi was in her mortal form, she felt emotions towards DFQC. And I think she's into him. Which leads to my #3: In ep 29 trailer, DFQC said the Orchid infront of him wasn't really her. Then when she lost her consciousness, the bracelet was emphasized (which was the container of the "thing" that Jieli transfered). I think since Chidi and Rong Hao are kindred spirits, I believe Chidi isn't purely good as well.

Bec he kept getting praised here, I saw an entertainment news in China that said that he's actually more careful about his projects now. People speculated that he refused to work with the same actors in dramas that did not go well in the past. He already dismissed that speculation but I think it's really good to shy away from bad projects moving forward. He's actually good and physically pleasing (don't get me started with the bod!). He doesn't need to survive off of mediocre scripts.

I had the same complaint at first: He seemed apathetic. But IMO, the conversation they had was actually a logical explaination for that reaction. They are a kindred spirit and were enlightened to sacrifice everything for the person they want to protect. And anyway, CH said that he's tired of wars so since RH said he was willing to surrender himself for punishment, CH just accepted for both their peace.

I know! At long last! There's a background voice circulating in IG and Tiktok that I keep on remembering whenever I compare CH and DFQC's love for Orchid. It goes like, "Why do we fall inlove with villains more that the heroes? Bec heroes will sacrifice you for the world, while villains will sacrifice the world for you." CH didn't go against the orders of heaven until the most recent episode. I'm glad he did bec I was already starting to dismiss him.

This is the best of Wang Hedi so far. I've watched all of his dramas but this one stood out. The acting dynamics were amazing.

Yes, it was very heartbreaking. It was very clever of the writer to include the fact that even family members who love the soldiers have already forgotten their faces bec it's been 30K years since they last saw each other. Like in real life when children don't remember their parents' faces who served in the military or worked abroad and were not able to come home for a long period of time.

This was all I can think about while DFCQ was suffering. I was like, "They didn't get to put the lock. Is that a premonition of a sad separation in an upcoming episod?"

When was the stream? The last stream I know was of Esther Yu and Wang Hedi last week where they fought on-screen. Then the Director/Producer posted a statement online that fans shouldn't worry bec they'll make up in the speed of light.

OMG! I have never thought of this possibility but now you're giving me a heartache for the future. Especially since now we know that Jie Li is Rong Hao's spy. Urgh! I can't unsee this. 😭😭😭

Honestly, I wasn't planning to watch this series because of Esther Yu. Don't bash me, please. I just never liked her for a lot of reasons. Regardless if she stars with my favorite actors, I avoid anything she's in. But this series got me intrigued bec it's been fighting with Love Like the Galaxy and Immortal Samsara for the weekly top charts so I thought to give it a try while waiting for LLtG to finish. And I've been hearing that Wang Hedi's acting here is amazing. I'm happy I gave it a try 'coz I'm hooked!

Right! I think Rong Hao is a very pitiful character who was forced by the situation. So I guess Chidi has a very sad background as well given that they're a kindred soul because they understood each other right away.

It's so good that I'm also loving the side love story of Shanque and Jieli. They're so cute together.

Theory: I think them using Jieli as Danyin's mother, although unconfirmed if it's just a look-alike, means that Jieli may be related to Danyin and Li Yan (who aren't just common fairies, they're nobles). I think there's really something more to her character given that she's also an orphan, so the possibilies are feasible. I'm betting she's Danyin's half sister which will have something to do with how she can escape the poison from Rong Hao so she can be together with Shanque at the end of the story.
