It was one sided but what that doesn't include is when Mo reincarnates, eventually, way, way later in the story and the sequel, she reincarnates/reborn into a new person. I think thats what they're talking about but it's not mentioned in the wiki. Thats when they begin a romance.

I mean if you want to compare you can try Li Yufei who played Mulan in the Hollywood live action, not a great movie, didn't live up to the Mulan animation, but I thought she was great playing that role. One of the best cdrama actresses going around Li Yufei imo, would love to see her in a historical action cdrama. Personally though, I think Zhou Ye is doing really well, I think when we get to the war scenes she will shine more, but I think she's playing her role pretty well, just haven;' seen much of her tough general side yet. But that's just my opinion obviously, everyone has their own opinion.

If you want a bit more info I posted the reason why in discussion section, its one of the main reason why the episodes are so short. His face was face swapped and green screened in for some scenes, while many others were cut.

Hahaha honestly I didn't think of it till I saw your comment, but as soon I saw it Ren's character in it came to mind. They definitely have the same feel and look. So true about O&O trauma, such a great drama but the last like few episodes are insanely traumatic.

Kinda gives off Ren Jialun's vibe in One and only with Bai lu, similar dynamic between the the Ml and FL in both I feel. Also Ren's character was like a cold general type, that was soft at heart.

As for the romance, ML and FL get an imperial decree from the emperor to marry. At that point he still doesn't know she was He ru fi in her past life, but it's clear they like each other, she confesses she likes the moon and he is her moon, and he returns the confession. Eventually, she confesses to him her real identity, he says sorry for not recognizing her, and they get married. No break up or anything like that. Eventually, in the epilogue they have a kid together, happy married. Wu Zhao is interested but she had no idea he likes her till he confessed, asking her not to marry ml, she rejects him pretty clearly, saying she only loves ML. He moves on, he's not like an aggressive 2ml.
