For reference ep 9 is around chp 100 of the novel. He finds out the whole truth at chapter 215. They confess their…
It is gradual, but they spend more time together, travel together, and also pretend to be a married couple. So they are always close to each other. Also FL finds out a lot of things ML did for her in their academy days she didn't know about like secretly teaching her how to use the sword. This is one of the main factors, all the care he gave her in her past life she has no clue about. Also idk if this will be in the drama, but there is another girl who likes ML and everyone says they are perfect together so she gets jealous, which lets her realize her feelings. Essentially, it's all the small things and care ML gives her in this life and her past life, she slowly falls for him. Same with ML, not as clear as FL falling for him, but he sees her as different to other women. She's independent, strong, all those types of things, make him fall for her. Also in the novel, he thinks FL likes Chu Zhao so gets jealous.
It's when they are riding the horse together in ep 4, she took off the bandage she uses to flatten her chest, to cover her injury. So on the horse, he felt her chest on his back, if you know what I mean 😂
question for the novel readers, does xiao ju find out the whole truth post confessing and officially together…
For reference ep 9 is around chp 100 of the novel. He finds out the whole truth at chapter 215. They confess their feeling and have an imperial decree to marry at around chapter200, but he doesn't know the truth then. But they do confess they like eachother. He finds out the truth in chapter 215, so not too much later. She tells him everything he asks if her feelings for him were real, she says yes, and they continue their relationship with no secrets now. If we go at the same pace, the will probably get together officially and find out the whole truth around ep18-22 roughly. Between them confessing their feelings, and him finding out the truth, doesn't take long. But the truth comes out post confession.
You know before ep 22 I thought Peacock's dad's eye patch dude was a harmless guy. Never did anything really memorable, good or bad. But man, he was a real jerk in ep 22 along with Peacock, with how they convicted Xueman with no evidence just to draw out Beiming and save themselves.
It's gonna be funny when Uveil: Jadewind airs, WXY and Bai Lu, will WXY finally get Bai Lu after trying so hard…
Hahaha I agree I think he needs one more drama where he fails again to make up for what happened in one and only, then they can star in another drama after this together and have a happy ending 😂
I just want to be honest here: I know XBM suffered here BUT... I still don't forgive WXY.
It's gonna be funny when Uveil: Jadewind airs, WXY and Bai Lu, will WXY finally get Bai Lu after trying so hard and failing in One and Only and Kunning palace? We'll see
Regarding the jealousy part. I hope our ML won't turn out to be one of those kinda of mls who gets easily jealous…
Not gonna lie, in the novel he is pretty jealous, he gets jealous super easy and makes FL coax him. He never gets jealous for a long time, but does get pretty jealous until FL makes him feel better. So we might see a jealous side of him in the drama, just a heads up.
I havent read the novel but I feel conflicted for CZ. I hope he is not like a big villain and just greedy. But…
In the novel CZ is not good but not bad, he's a gray character, that is just trying to achieve his own goals. Not fully loyal to anyone really, but not a big villain.
I watched the first two episodes (that was all Viki had available as of yesterday) and the pacing is lightning…
A couple things, we see in flashbacks they had interactions in the academy, but they weren't particularly close. Seems ML had a soft spot for FL, but mostly they just passed by each other, weren't like best friends. More Ml's father thought highly of FL and thought together they would protect their country in the future. After the academy, they had not met for a few years, until the first scene of ep 1 where ML's father dies. Before that, for a few years since the academy, they had been in separate armies. The scene where ML is being punished by the emperor and fake He Ru Fei shows up, he mentions its been a few years since they last saw each other (not counting when ML's father died). So since they had not seen each other for years, its believable he would not recognize the fake He Ru Fei, as he could have attributed her change in height and all that, to the years they separated.
Honestly, there are some logical flaws here and there, and gaps in the story. Something you have to look past if you can, I find the show really enjoyable so far, so I'm fine moving past those. If thats not for you though, thats ok.
Additionally, a few episodes may seem choppy as a lot of scenes were cut due to the 3ml Cheng Li Su, being replaced due to the previous actor getting arrested and blacklisted. So many of his scenes were cut, while others were replaced with face swapping and green screen tech. Thats why the first 7 episodes only run about 30-35 minutes, but episodes 8 and 9 went for 45 mins. I think overall, episodes 8 and 9 were the best yet, maybe watch till then and see what you think. Again, I find the show really enjoyable and I quite like it so far, but it's not for everybody, and if it's not for you thats ok. Just thought I would give you some context for what you have seen so far.
I think ep 8 and 9 moved the plot along quite well, paced picked up a bit more action. As for her real identity…
Yeh I would prefer if she told him earlier, then they can work together fully, without a barrier between them. Plus, always better to get it out earlier and clear misunderstandings. Thats one of the things I really liked about coroner's diary, her identity was shared early, and then they could cooperate fully after that with no secrets.
