Because they don't want to admit to the world the emperor was fake. Only a few people know, but for the rest of the world and the ministers/nobles etc, he was the real emperor not a fake. So Yan Sui, would be next in line as he's seen as the only remaining blood of the emperor.

I'm the same, I like when a normally bad guy plays a good guy. I'm watching the kdrama law and city just as a casual watch, and last episode had an actor that normally only plays bad roles, play a good one and it was refreshing to see him play a good one. So same situation here. Would be nice if he comes back just for a bit.

Ikr, for such a well known actor, hopefully he comes back, but since I know you like spoilers, unfortunately in the novel, he's mentioned but never seen again, as far as I can remember.

Personally, I never really liked that style of animation, the 3d animation of some donghua, same as you, but after I started watching it, I got really used to it, and the quality did get better in my opinion. Also I think some scenes and episodes looked super, super realistic, and that made me get more used to it and into the donghua.

Yeh honestly neither. The donghua looks so realistic like the animation, some scenes look so real. Not that I'm complaining they made a live action though. So far looks pretty good and the cgi looks really well done. I would love a sequel that just properly covers the whole thing, but you know with the high profile cast and expensive budget idk if it will happen. But we can always hope, like you said if it's a hit we can hope.

They won't, won't be even close, the novel has 2400+ chapters. I think they'll stop at the donghua part where he uses the ancient portal array, but that's just my guess. Either way they're gonna have to have an open ending I think. But looking forward to seeing how much they cover. Big fan of the donghua as well.

Yeh, he did really start overacting near the end. Since he got the message of Prince Rui's death I think, just kept getting more like unhinged.

Whichever one it is, it's deserved either way. A dark horse drama for sure.

I forgot about sword rose, haven't seen Dilraba in ages so looking forward to that and immortal ascension. Only variety show I've watched is keep running, might have to start watching more variety shows.

Hahaha you're almost there. Luckily for me released at a good time, but I feel your pain. I couldn't go to sleep on episode 37 when it's so close to the end, would keep me for so long. Have to finish it for sure.

For sure, everything could have been handled way differently. I think they did a good job of explaining and finding clues step by step before the final big reveal, and they explained everything clearly. But definitely, if things were handled better, everything could have been changed for the better. Like, I understand bad omen if he dies in the palace whatever, but like you couldn't have thought about treating him incase her survived? And if you really were sure he would die and determined to take him out of the palace, how are you going to let him hear everything about his past like that and not just take him some place, far far away, give him to adopted parents and never speak of it again. Then, when he's back empress dowager knows and says nothing, even when everyone's dying around her. So many deaths all due to that one decision back then.

He was a twin, but because he was born weak, it is seen as an omen/bad luck if a new born dies in the palace. So he was secretly sent out of the palace far away, to grow up. Eventually, he found out about his real identity.

So so true, he's supported by good people all around.
