I did read the novel and yes he is really dead. He was set up to die by the emperor because he would not hand over control of the military. The emperor didn't trust him.

You know I just feel like saying this drama really made me a fan of Landy Li. Don't get it wrong, before this I liked Landi Li, and have watched quite a few of her dramas and she's always been great, especially in Angels Fall sometimes, Don't disturb my study and Starry love. But I wouldn't call myself a fan of hers, I just liked her in passing really. But after this great drama, I'm a proper fan of both Landy Li and ARP, hope this show gives them both more opportunities going forward. Such a good show and performance by them both.

I think from what I understand, BF was saying it in a way that meant, that's the excuse he would use if anyone asked. You know so if anyone asked where QW was, he would say she went missing while hunting with him. So that's what he would say to not let anyone know she was kidnapped. That's what I felt like at least.

In the novel she does cure his eyes or at least he was able to see but faked it for a while. Same here, so far it's been a good series, they just have to stick the landing now.

Honestly, in the novel he stays super ambiguous and the type of character to scheme behind the scenes for a long time without knowing which side he's on, but he does eventually reveal his true nature and goals to the FL and became quite up front. However, since this show has been quite fast paced and sped up compared to the novel, I think he'll reveal himself a lot quicker than in the novel, that's what I hope at least.

Same, I like the actor and his character is pretty interesting, being introduced so late, you know he playas important role, just not sure what type or role yet. In the novel his character is very ambiguous and honestly pretty interesting, so it will be interesting to see how involved he is in everything that has happened so far and if the show follows the novel or takes a different route.

From the episode 22 preview, good news, they seem to be together! So I'm guessing they make up in episode 21. and enter their dating phase in episode 22. Hopefully, we get a couple good episodes of dating with no drama.

Yeh not yet, but casting a decently well known/recognizable actor for a role that is introduced so late, he definitely will have a big purpose to play
